Damn brotha! I'm sooo sorry for your loss and I think you of all people know that I am sincere seeing that I've gone through this twice and have not been able to finish up with the new car because I'm just plain disgusted with starting over. Like you said, at least you're okay and that's what is important here. If you need anything, you know how to catch-up with me. Let us know what you decide to do and don't sweat this.rico05 wrote:I am totally sick to my stomach. Some drunk ******* on 75 decided to stop his car and have an arguement. The car in front of me swerved to miss him but I saw it too late. BAM...
I am ok, but the S13 is gone. Core support is about 12 inches back. Rad is gone. Oil cooler gone. Intercooler is good (yay SMIC), but piping looks shot. So yeah....
I just filed on his insurance as I am poor and only have liability. We shall see what comes of it. So there we go. Rico's bad *** CA is no more. I am debating that if I get enough I may just write it off and be happy for the kids that find it at the junkyard. I dunno. If this had happened in College Station, I could have a shell and swap it in a week. Up here in Dallas, I don't know anyone so I may not be able to do anything. Only time will tell. I'm just glad to be alive. But I have never been more sad. I'll try to get pics I guess...

Trying to get enough money out of the car to replace all of the aftermarket stuff on there is going to be a fight with the insurance company. If possible, I would also start getting receipts together for as much stuff as possible. The insurance company might be cool about it, but most of the time, they try to screw you on aftermarket stuff. You also might consider buying the car back from them, then you'll at least get to salvage as much stuff as possible.
I agree if you do part it out you could make some cash back no problem, but if you don't what are your car plans. New? Another s13?r34 gtr wrote:That suuuucks!
I would have killed the man. Straight up. The s13 didn't have the necessary zig-zag skills needed to avoid him? You should at the least buy the car back and part it out on here. I'll bet you could make a few grand back that would really help with a new car.

fix it
sorry to hear that rico.
hell even a 50 dollar a month rental storage place would be more than enough. with a few wrenchs and screw drivers you could tear the entire thing apart in no time at all. plus maybe 40 bucks in towing fees...... helll selling the head, coil packs, and valve covers and you have made your money back.
glad you are ok. Im pretty sure they wont give you much of anything for it with a non-stock motor in there...... least I have been told thats how the BS works.
thats not even to point out what wheels, suspension, engine, or any other parts are worth here. def part it out. hell It sickens me to think that CA harnesses are being sold for 200 bucks a pop these days.
holy F__ken hell...dat is just stacking the sh_t pile real highrico05 wrote:Turns out, he does not have insurance. So I am in screwed ville....
