yea thats true, so should i not trust these companies even tho they're nico sponsors? has anyone had experience with them?JYangS14 wrote:Any local shops or anyone local selling a SR. With a purchase like this, I prefer being able to see the motor before I give up the money.
I've heard good things about Zerolift and Heavythrottle ofcourse. Whoever you go with, ask for compression test results and pictures of the engine before you pay.callmeweezy724 wrote:

does that include shipping? since it will be sent freight, usually shipping is not factored into the selling price. you might need to save up another couple hundred for that. i paid 265 for shipping to my door. I got a quote from totaljdm n they said $2250 shipped to my door..
well out of the 3 places none had s13 blacktops..but zerolift said they were getting a shipment in on thursday at 5 I called on friday morning they said it didnt come in yet..but def at 5 on friday. I asked if they could send compression tests, and pics of the motor that there gonna send me. The guy said sure but it will have to be on monday since he has to go threw all the motors. Im going to call back on Monday and get that done, hopefully they got the shipment in. So as of right now im going with zerolift. Any more suggestions or opinions?positronone wrote:Any updates...who did you choose?

Zerolift did not want to give me pictures of the engine I was going to recieve. They didn't give me compression test results either. When I finally got an email back, they sent me a generic picture right off their website, an they made excuses as to why they did that when I called back.
I would say I'm neutrla with TotalJDM. Wasn't helpful or even that interested in talking to me.
Trust me. Take your time becuase if something breaks or is missing, don't expect them to help you out. You have no idea. Once they have your money, they don't even acknowledge you. Even if they claim to warranty an engine, they can and will make excuses. This is first hand-experience talking...
