Hey nico people i was wanting to ask a few questions about my build i am doing. The first question is how much horse power will the stock crank handle. My build so far, bc 272int 272exh cams, eagle h beam robs, bc valve springs, bc titanium retainers, cometic 1.1mm head gasket, cp pistons 86.50 bore, greddy rocker arm stoppers, jdm valve guides and seals, acl main, rod , tryst bearings, si engineering int and exh valves , and arp main, head and rod bolts. what kind of power can i make with this build. Thanks to any in put.

you dont have to worry about the crank till you pass 1000 hp. And the horsepower you will make all depends on the turbo you go with and the boost level

I believe the eagle rods come with arp bolts, so you shouldn't have to buy them separate. But I would go with Jim Wolf valve guides and seals. Also a mild port and polish job and 3-angle valve job would help flow a bit better. Alos, I take it this is for the an sr motor, but which version? ALso, measure and re-measure everything before you go getting some of the parts. Like cylinder wall diameter, crank diameters on both crank and rod journals. If the stock valve guides are within spec, I'd leave them in and not worry about aftermarket.

A lot more than you will probably be able to throw at it. It's hard to say since most of the high horsepower SR20DET's use strokers. It could probably handle close to 1000 but you'll be worrying about a myriad of other things before the crankshaft.

None of those are truly power adders but the cams should flow pretty well for 5-600 but the rods I wouldn't test more than 600, if that. Eagle says they are good for 750 but with rods what truly matters is what RPM they are operating at. The stress of 750hp at 2700 RPM is a lot less than 750HP at 9000 RPM.

ok what i want out of the car on race gas at the most will be 600hp but i dought i will even push it that far anyways and also you say that nothing i bought except for the cams are power adders. i want the block and head to hold more than stock so isnt that considered power adders. thanks for into redtop91

thats what hes sayin there not power adders but they will handle more power so when you put the 35r on there and boost 25 lbs you wont blow up. All the power is coming from the turbo and cams. But no matter how built you are you still need proper tuning specially at that high of power
