I downloaded it last night and played it this morning. It's definitely fun and I'll definitely buy it, but I think GT5 Prologue is damage and mods (including paint) away from making GRID look like crap. I guess the problem with that is that everybody wants damage and mods. I guess that's why it's a Prologue. I think the full GT5 will put everything else to shame.
I used the wheel I used for Gran Turismo when I played GRID. It was pretty cool to feel the jerk of the steering wheel on each up shift. It wasn't too much of a sim, but it wasn't too"arcadey" either. In comparison to GT5 it looks quite cartoonish, but then I'm sure they didn't put the insane amount of effort into designing each car like the did for GT5. The beginning of the GRID demo did say that the demo does not represent the final product, so that leaves plenty more to be desired. Overall it looks like a great game to have as a GT5 alternative. It's nice to see some driving games coming to PS3 that aren't complete crap.
