If you own a 360 or PS 3 the demo is out now, definately worth picking up...

http://www.codemasters.com/grid/#/home/

Continues the TOCA Race car series and this time it has drifting in it... still trying to get a comprehensive car list but i know it has the S15, the new charger concept, AE86, 787B, Rhys Millens GTO drift car, Hubinette's Charger, and a bunch more.

Yeah I Downloaded the demo last night but I found one of my long lost Hot Version DVD's so I decided to watch that instead. Hopefully I'll get to play it tonight.

The demo is worth the time trust me I put down GTA 4 to try it out. Speaking of GTA 4 redtop, what the hell does M2E for GTA4 mean? I never responded to your message because I've spent the last 2 days trying to figure it out.

Grid looks awesome, and their first Pro Race Car Driver game was quite fun and very realistic motorsports way, so I cant wait for this one

the engine TOCA uses (also found in GTR, GTR2, and GTL) is phenomenal. its easily one of the greatest true simulations ive ever played. i look forward to this game.

if you have a good PC i HIGHLY recommend GTR2. its so realistic i cant even describe it.

edit: after downloading and playing the demo, this uses the DIRT engine, not the good one its kinda arcadeish but the drifting is at least 100x better than NFSPS)

I downloaded it last night and played it this morning. It's definitely fun and I'll definitely buy it, but I think GT5 Prologue is damage and mods (including paint) away from making GRID look like crap. I guess the problem with that is that everybody wants damage and mods. I guess that's why it's a Prologue. I think the full GT5 will put everything else to shame.

I used the wheel I used for Gran Turismo when I played GRID. It was pretty cool to feel the jerk of the steering wheel on each up shift. It wasn't too much of a sim, but it wasn't too"arcadey" either. In comparison to GT5 it looks quite cartoonish, but then I'm sure they didn't put the insane amount of effort into designing each car like the did for GT5. The beginning of the GRID demo did say that the demo does not represent the final product, so that leaves plenty more to be desired. Overall it looks like a great game to have as a GT5 alternative. It's nice to see some driving games coming to PS3 that aren't complete crap.

I downloaded it last night...took for friggan ever...and I really enjoy it. I think the replays are fantastic, especially when inside the car.

Granted, the graphics aren't as good as GT...never played Forza, so I can't compare it, but they are still good, and the chrash damage seems pretty cool. It's owned me a couple of times.

This might be a game to purchace when the time comes.

Interesting thing I found...you can't save anything...lol. Then I realized it was a demo. Sucks, because I have to go in and change my controller settings each time I play it. Oh well.

has anyone tried the drift yet, it's hard as hell, I hope they add a clutch button in the final version so you can do clutch kicks instead of just ebrake initiations. There will be 45 cars some of which will be f1's, professional drift cars. There will be 24hr races, one of which will be the 24hours of Le Mans, As of right now there aren't weather effects just night and day, but that could change since the release date is scheduled for June or July. You will be able to modify your cars with both hard parts and race livery similar to what you will be able to do on Forza. I'll be putting GTA4 down when this comes out.

Drifting is off as usual. But you couldn't feel like a pro if it was realistic I guess.

Customization Is A No Go In This Game. They Wanted To Keep The Game All About The Race.Maybe Change Between Color/Sponsor, But Full Customization Nope.Heard In The Interview With One Of The Game Designers.

Gran Turismo is at least kind of feels like driving...I just played the demo on PS3 (granted with out the wheel yet because its late) and this game is trash.

OK not trash, but I kept hearing people talk about it like it was a sim racer...Its just not.

Great game, but most realistic will still be Gran Turismo.

The demo of Gran Turismo (prolouge is a demo btw) is awesome, can't wait for the full.
