finally scooped up a running shell for $650. it's a 93 with pig-nose and only 106k. Needs some work, interior was stripped, dash is uncracked and I'm re-carpeting the whole thing (write-up or something if it goes well) it needs new tires and heater core. looks like the kid did some last minute driftzz yo!! I plan on a red-top swap very soon, like next month

anywho... pics:

is this the 'project eBay' thing?

if so, im assuming that means youre only gonna buy stuff from ebay. which would be very interesting.

You can make one sick car using just eBay. You may have to wait for stuff to pop up, but it shouldn't be hard. Ive probably gotten 2/3 or the stuff on my car off eBay, and its all top notch.

yes!! thanks to xrider232 for the sale

as for project eBay...I'm putting in an sr20 and I thought to myself what parts to get. so far i have my eyes set on:

- front mount inter cooler- cat back exhaust- 3 gauge pod with gauges... glowshift i think- hub & steering wheel

as for the lsd i'll proly get that too, but right now im just shooting for the basics to get it running, then when I come home on weekends from school i'll do a little work on it (the lsd, suspension). i guess i'm doing this because i've seen a ton of "eBay??!?!?!" threads so i';ll put it all to test, hell, i'll probably try coilovers haha... $50 shipped... i'll be the guinea pighttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

well kinda, but not really. i know cat back will be fine, and intercooler will be ok. the real "test" will be coilovers, which is only a possibility, as i said idk if i'm gunna go THAT far. whatever anyone throws at me will be considered, if it sounds good and i trust it, i'll give it a shot. eBay is quite cheap, and in college i have nothing to spend money on so the little stuff costs it's not really "on the line"

I hope that you have some success with Ebay parts. I was looking into getting some parts too. I really have like no cash to be wasting my money on an no one has any experience with half the stuff on Ebay. Thank you so much for posting up your experiences.

ebay suspension, brakes, or safety equipment is a huge NO. dont jeopardize your safety for a few dollars.

dont think im that stupid haha, the worst im going is a hub, cuz i've only heard a few bad tales... well one. suspension i've always wanted to try but it's a baddd feeling i get inside so i probly wont

again... that's exactly why i'm doing it. i planned on it anyways and when people ask what i got i'm gunna come straight out and say i made an eBay project.

i guess im doing it this way because i know if it breaks its just a couple bucks, then ill get the real deal. im not getting anything that if it breaks i die, like brakes. the only suspension im getting is sway bars.

nice find man your car looks really clean and untouched. As for the ebay project, I got a jump start on you lol...ebay turbo, manifold, fmic, and full exhaust goin for almost 1 year and only minor problems with exhaust hangers breaking(rewelded those mofos on good lol) I'm probably gonna get some skunk2 lowering springs soon.

I hope you have as good of luck as me with the ebay stuff, but I think you will be fine with the basics
