I was curious what the forum trollers of NicoClub.com think is the highest Wheel HorsePower attainable out of an S14 SR20DET with:

-Stock Long Block-Stock Ignition and Coils-Stock Injectors-Stock MAFS-Stock T28 @ 13 PSI-Megan Manifold-Elbow Back Exhaust-FMIC(21"x9"x2.5" Core, 2" Hot Pipe and 2.75" Cold Pipe)-Fidanza Flywheel

Why don't you guys throw some guestimates out there and give me a feel for the power I should make.

I understand this has been asked quite few times, but given the numbers I got out of my last dyno pull on a post MAF pre-turbo intake leak and inability to rev past 3500 RPM. I think most peoples SR "Standards" will be out the window. This is speculation anyhow.

EDIT: DYNO'D!

I dyno'd this past weekend, made 272.3 WHP @ 13 PSI on a Dynapack 4000 Chassis Dyno. Which is roughly 294 WHP on a Dynojet.

It was at 10.3 AFRs at the beginning of Full Boost notice the torque dip. It then leaned out to 11.4 AFRs and slowly started to lean out to 12.2-12.3 at the end of the pull.

Thanks for looking.

With a tune I know I could hold that torque steady at the beginning of full boost and make over 300 WHP. :D

I know a guy who made a little over 250 at the wheels and 300 torque on a stock redtop sr 13lbs of boost, fmic, turboback exhaust and dyno tune on power fc... So you have potential.

You can max it out at a little over 300hp when done right. But most dynos i have seen were pushing 280-290 at about 18 psi.

I would think that with pretty much stock everything except the BPU's you'd see around 275hp with a tune... Without a tune, I wouldn't put it over 250hp.

Yes, stock 370cc injectors. I am upgrading in about 3 months as well as engine management.

370cc + 18psi = easy axcess pistons

so is 370cc injectors safe for 1 bar psi with the s14t28?

I had a first gen eclispe gsx with stock 450cc with tdo5 Evo iii turbo at 17 psi and the afr was 11.5 or closed to that with a blow through maf

No, one bar is 14.5 psi i wouldn't run more than 10psi with 370's

Not the smartest thing to do, but my nephew normally runs 14 psi on 370cc with a S15 turbo. He's even gone as high as 16 psi. I wouldn't recommend it, but between the two of us. We've ran the sh*t out of that motor for about 6 years now. It's still holding up and running strong though.

With an FPR and a gauge, setting your base psi to 50lbs would net slightly more fuel. But, that's not something I'm wanting/going to do with mine. I run 12/13psi on my T28 daily, haven't had any problems so far, but knock on wood.

You say that you would make 294 WHP on a Dynojet. How do you come up with that? Usually dynapaks read higher than dynojets.

Dynapaks, read lower. In my personal experience.***

The average difference is roughly 8% and sometimes upwards of 10%. 272.3 x 1.08 = 294.0*.

Every car that was tuned at Defined Autoworks on their Dynapak, generally put down 8-10% more on a Dynojet at dyno events.

I can't notice it because I haven't driven a S13 Red or Blacktop in a long time. Also, I'm pretty sure that VTC kicks on at low RPM and turns off around 5000 RPM. Its for low end power. I remember reading that it kicks off at 5400 RPM. Also, the VH45DEs VTC kicks off at 4800 to help the low end power.
