i looked but didnt find a write up for this. there should be a write up for the fluids. brake fluids, tranmission fluids, motor oils, diff fluids. just all the different kinds and which ones are best for the sr. theres a lot out there. motul, Q, redline, it sucks when theres writes up for less uncommon stuff. and then there are no write ups for more common stuff. it should be a kinda buyers guide to sr fluids and oils. please

fluid change? there is always a bolt to drain out the fluid and to fill it up. most of the time.

Are you wanting capacities and what not?? Or are you just wanting someone to tell you what kind of oil to put in your motor?

wtf. i said like a buyers guide. some peeps say motul is better than Q. some say royal purple is good too. ive never tried royal purple. of all the good motor oils ive tried is Q. and it did well. im just saying our sr resource isnt complete. im sure other people out the have used all kinds could do a nice write up. it doesnt have to be an engineering write up. just something evryone can understand. there are really alot of write ups on here that i dont see people using that often. something like this would be really useful.

Ive heard a lot of horror stories about Q, they use teflon in their oil. Teflon does not belong in your engine. I rock Amsoil, Ive also heard good things about, Redline, Royal Purple, and Motul.

This should explain it a little better, its not SR specific, but what you are using the oil in really makes no differance.

LOL.....

You should use some 10W-30 in your transmission. Thats what I run here in the Antartic! Its GREAT! No grinds even when its 60 below!

I've heard Royal Purple is good stuff. My dad swears AGAINST Amsoil ever since he blew an engine in his 510 like 30 years ago lol

High quality oils with the least amount of additives are generally the best. Synthetics are great. Honestly I don't think it matters too much as long as you change it regularly enough and take care of your stuff.

I recommend using cheap/regular diff fluid if you have a clutch type aftermarket LSD and just change it often. The clutches wear and get the oil dirty requiring frequent changes.
