be very careful, that is all I will say, I never recommend anybody do alarm installs themselves, ESPECIALLY remote starts though.

today's car electronics systems are very integrated, and are very delicate. If you happen to wire something wrong, you can be in a heap of trouble. Also this car has air-bags, and you are not supposed to disconnect the system, or you could accidently deploy the air bag or create a malfunction, or turn on the air bag code and need it reset. But you need to test for wires, as always. I will help you out and give you the wire codes that I have, BUT like I said as always no matter what even if you do have color codes, ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK WIRES WITH A DMM, NOT A TEST LIGHT!

I express that firmly, and you assume any responsibility using a test light, and any of the following codes and installation you assume all risks and responsibility and in no way will I be held accountable if anything should fail or go wrong.

Here are the wiring codes I have attained.

12volts Blue Ignition harnessIgnition Red Ignition HarnessHeater/AC Yellow Ignition HarnessStart White Ignition HarnessHorn Pink/Silver dot(-) Ignition HarnessLock Gray(-) Drivers Kick Panel 16 pin white connectorUnlock Brown(-) Drivers kick panel 16 pin white connectorBrake Red/2Silver dots(+) Drivers kick panel Harness to the rearParking Lights Gray/1Sil.Dot(+) Drivers kick panel Harness to the rearLF DoorPin Brown/2sil.dots(-) Drivers kick panel Harness to the rearLR DoorPin Orange/2sil.dots(-) Drivers kick panel Harness to the rearRF Doorpin Lt/Blue/2Sil Dots(-) Passanger kick Panel Lower white connectorRR Doorpin Gray/2sil. dots(-) Passanger kick Panel Lower white connectorTach Green 3 pin connector on drivers side of engine(no need to take off the engine cover)

If you need any help or suggestions, feel free to ask. Also since you are doing a remote start install, I HIGHLY recommend and suggest that you use heat shrink and solder your connections. Remote start installs are treated with extra caution, so please make sure you grab all required connections and please don't use a cheap knock off or off brand RS system, it will only give you problems, trust me. Only wire that I can think of off of my head that was not listed and you will have to test for is the PARK/NEUTRAL wire, you will need to test for that wire(s). I also hope that you have a knowledge of diodes and relays as you more than likely will need to use them in installing the system. All of the preceeding is why I always recommend a professional shop do the install if you have little to no prior knowledge, or in anyway are uncertain in your ability to perform such a task, BUT if you believe you can do it, by all means try, because you will learn through trial and error.

AHHH YES, ty Kimber, I forgot about the immobilizer, you will need either a immobilizer bypass unit, OR a chipped key that IS NOT cut to leave in the car for the RS system to work.

On the remote start, when you hear it click, does all your dash lights, and acc come on, then it does not crank, then everything shuts off?

If so, then you either A) have the wrong Acc or ign wire, Or B) dont have the system programmed properly. Are you trying to do Tach, or Voltage? I always programmed my installs for voltage.

If its cranking and not starting, Either A) Crank time too short, Or B) Bypass module not programmed properly.

Beyond that, I suck at troubleshooting, without seeing the vehicle in front of me to test everything.

Did you get an immobilizer bypass? If not, what you're hearing is the car not reading the chip that's embedded in the key, and preventing the car from starting.

It would still crank, or start than immediately die, if it was the bypass module.

If its just a click sound, then not doing anything, im leaning towards not programmed for the correct tach or voltage.

Or by some odd chance, he has the brake wire hooked up to a constant 12v source.

I LOVE IT... i have a good alarm for my V so i don't have to worry as much anymore and just for fun I can start my car with a bunch of people standing around it and impress them.....
