See the top thread in this forum.

There is no way to LEGALLY import, title and register an R32 anymore. Sadly, lots of places/people do so illegally, circumventing Customs, NHTSA and EPA regulations.

But if don't mind driving a car that's guilty of at least 3 Federal crimes, more power to ya.

Don't know this company, though.

Met one of their "bois" here in Phx. Guy had no clue what he was talking about.

Like 99% of people who claim to be able to import JDM vehicles, he struck me as a poser.

If you're willing to take the risks of the non-legal cars, there's plenty out there.

Can't give names/numbers off the top of my head, but my advice would be 2 things:

1. eBay2. Where ever you go, avoid the places that have you buy a car that's still in Japan that will then be shipped over AFTER you pay and order it. Only be willing to talk about and put down money on a car that you know for a fact is already here in the States. If they can't or won't offer proof that's it's physically here in the US, move on....too many other places out there to waste your time and money with them.

Like Count said, if you do get an "illegal" car, there's some "less-shady" shady guys.

I should keep a database of all the "wannabe importers"...

And technically those aren't legal either. The few that the government approved from them were but IIRC they were shut down because there methods of legalizing used a loophole that the government caught onto. Like aforementioned there are no more street legal R32+ Skylines. The R30's should be legal sometime soon. Those are yummy.

WOW!!! First of all, I thought NICO was a friendly site. I didn't think the "CEO" would talk bad about someone he has no idea about. I am sorry to all but sometimes many people like to think they work for me. I don't fully understand why. Greg, do you remember with who you spoke with and where? If it was one of my "bois" I am sure he was not a poser. We have been doing this for about 3 years and finally made a business of it. We can LEGALLY import any kind of JDM car you want. We also have over 50 very happy clients.

As for everyone else if you want some proof check out http://WWW.MYSPACE.COM/JAPANIMPORTS

By the way Greg, if you want I can hook you up with one of my BOIS in AZ and put you in a nice GTR. Hope to do business. Maybe we'll meet this time for real.....
We are a friendly site.

And I'm not gonna debate with you, you're wrong, the cars aren't Federalized, and if a "MySPace" page is the best you can do, then you're doing something wrong.

Your "boi" was at the NICOfest / NOPI event at Firebird and was inquiring about an R33 GT-R we had there... I asked him a couple questions about import procedures and he couldn't give me a straight answer.

There will be no slinging vehicles on these forums, either.

You don't get them Federalized, because no one in the US is authorized to federalize Skylines.

How is this so hard for people to comprehend?

Registering as a kit car is illegal, due to the definition of kit car: A kit car may NEVER have been mass-produced for purchase by the general public. Skylines were.

Also, bringing them in in containers, disassembled, is circumvention of another part of the law: The one that speaks to bringing in parts with the intention of reassembly into a functional vehicle.

Just call it what it is: Grey-market illegal vehicles, buyer beware, pay to play, no warranty, good luck, see ya.

Well just to let everyone know, Supaca is very legit. I say so because I have done business with them. They knew what they were doing and all paper work was there proof. I ordered my 95 GTSt from them, and about 5 weeks later I had my Skyline. A few months after that my buddy ordered a 1997 GTR.......Shipping took about 6 weeks, but before I knew it.....There he was, sitting in the car of his dreams. Both cars had no problems and were the same one in the pictures sent to me prior.

Keep doing your thing supaca.........

Thanx StayTooned!

It kinda make my company look bad when people are talking as if they have a clue. How you been with the cars? As for me, Its been real busy, its the end of the month and trying to get the last orders in. Anyway, How are your cars running? Still gonna want that R34? Let me know and I can get it here by mid/late May.

As for turbo junkie.....Yes I do have many R32 GTR's. If you want you can message me. And if I dont get back to you right away, I am sorry. Like I said I have been very busy. Not that I dont want to help you out.....So its not that bad for business after all.

The original Cobras yes...but all the new ones ARE kit cars, because they not assembled and sold as a vehicle by either the chassis or drivetrain manufacturers. They do tend to get assigned Ford VINs for some reason...at least, a lot of the ones I've seen have.

Yeah, Ive got some questions. How can you federalize cars that are supposed to be black listed? Can you give an overview explanation to the process you use to legalize/federalize a GTR? Can you offer visual proof of federal registration paperwork that you have done? I would like to allow myself a glimmer of hope, but I have to know that everything checks out razor sharp *and can be proven without a doubt*, because as much as I want a skyline, I dont want to have one that keeps me looking over my shoulder or losing sleep at night wondering if the cops or feds are going to impound my car and deport it, or worse, take it to a compactor. Anything less than a federally legal skyline cant cut it, yknow?

If it's not a Motorex car, I'd not trust anything without release forms from all three agencies:Customs, NHTSA and EPA.

(but then, I'm in that same paranoia club about my car being legalized)

Right on. I dont really want to join that club. I can see me now with shot nerves, blood shot eyes....

Anyway, youre right, Id want to see these forms. Everything has to be 100% kosher.
