what i try to do is find out as much as you can about the person.. find out where they are from see if you know some1 around that area etc... my friend was going to buy a motor from some guy in cali.. supposely he worked for the police department.. we called to verify that.. no record of him.. spoke to him again and he said he was going through the acadmy etc.. just pretty much called alot of places to see if he was telling the truth and turns out he was scamming people.. maybe its cuz i am in school for forensic investigation and i just like to dig into stuff but i would check on alot of things before buying something from some1 you wont make contact with180sx+silvia=sileighty wrote:It's alrite bro you just speakin what you know. i wished i would of kept my money.
I too did the same thing. Heres what I sent him: "Hey,Wanted to know if you had the front bumper still for sale? Im also interested in your eastwood fender roller. I can send you money order or check of $380. My area code is 94549, let me know. Thanks."vancouverbc wrote:I emailed him asking about buying something. See if he is even checking his email.
Not everything can be resolved with violence.nissan_blood wrote:Dont you have his address? I would just take a road trip and get my bumper and some of his teeth to make a necklace out of
180sx+silvia=sileighty wrote:OoO man thanks for the help guys. i appreciate it a lot. And yea i got his address. but my car probably wont make it down there. True violence never solve anything. Do any of you guys stay in the area he stays? I have his address if you want me to post it up. Thanks for the help everyone. You guys are the greatest.
Not to mention its mail fraud to recieve a USPS money order through the USPS and not pay for the goods dilivered. In any case, zerothread/43462 best thread ever for this problem. PEOPLE! READ THE ****ING STICKIES ONCE IN A WHILE! lol its all good but seriously it feels like I'm the only oneDriftless240 wrote:First off sorry to hear about what youre going through. I had trouble with a guy, took him 7 weeks to SHip my HKS Hi-Power Tip after he recieved the money.
Second off. F Paypal, it does shyt for it's users in a claim unless its on Ebay. Yea thats what they told me.
Third off where did you get the MO From? Currency Exchange? Post Office? ALWAYS Do Post Office Money Order, Priority Mail... You get a tracking number and you know what? If it is within the time frame you can get a portion of your money back. Why do you think they make you pay for the Money Order? All you need to do is bring it back to the post office. be like Hi sent this to someone and they didnt send me what I purchased how do I go about getting a partial refund. They will explain more in depth.
So yea once again sorry and hope it all works out.
