Phase2 might have something, and Chris Milano's joint may have something. Check drifting.com for milano's contact info and Phase2 is a Sponsor here.

There are others of course, but thats what I can think of.

I got mine from mx83*gx81 on eBay. He's "importer" here on NicoClub. Really good guy and very helpful via email.

Just get a Quaife for that much, they are great differentials. My brother has one, it works great.

You can find some S15 helicals on Ebay for pretty cheap every now and then. Cheap as in $200-300 cheap.Don't get a Quaife.

I am planning on getting the guts out of one soon and matting it up with the 4.36 ring gear out of my 180sx VLSD.

He said that he got a lightweight flywheel from the guy.

Careful with this one, you're going to pay another $136 in shipping and still need to find the output shafts which can be $250-$300.

Maybe 3 months ago, yes.

Overall I love my helical. I used the stock ring-gear so the gearing stayed the same. In the rainy conditions I can get on the gas with no real fear, if the car does kick sideways all I have to do is ease off the gas and it points straight again. A viscous or clutch-type would be more difficult to regain control. When I first got the diff, I was taking a wide left turn through an intersection, got on the gas, pegged second and expected the tail to swing out like with the open diff. Instead the helical just gripped like hell and shot me right where I was pointing the car. Anyone that wants a good grippy diff, I would say that this is the way to go. Just be sure to use the proper bolts when tightening the ring gear (12mm vs 13mm) and make sure that your backlash is within tolerance. I took my diff to a local shop and had them double check everything for me, $40 to make sure that my new $600 diff was safe.

They still are and I know that they have a bad reputation with Honda owners. But there was a guy that did a write-up here on NICO club and he's really enjoying his, like 2 years later. In the end, I guess you get what you pay for. I'm not going to trust my drivetrain to OBX.

I had bad experiences with OBX as well.

But as for the above post... why not a Quaife? I've heard nothing but positive stuff about them. Lots of guys use them in Improved touring and Production on the Midwestern Council races here...

s15 are the same thing for $4-600

theyre not bad, just why would you pay twice as much for the same diff?
