i was driving today next to an astovan and a lifted F150. the F150 was going possibly 60mph (not too sure, but faster than me for sure) and the astrovan was driving the same speed as me. we were all on a 3 lane 2 way street. then out of nowhere, a motorcycle cop pops out of a tree and drives not behind the truck, not behind the van, but straight behind me. wtf? right then and there i knew i was gonna get pulled. the d!ck cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket for going 55 in a 40 zone. i asked him why he didnt pull over the truck, and he was like, "i didnt see a truck." wtf! "its because he was going too fast you d!ck!" (<- didnt really say that, but i wanted to). dam, i hate cops. now i have to pay a ticket and go to traffic school. i thought i'm able to drive at that speed if it was the flow of traffic?anyways, i know this thread sux, but i'm mad

Come on now, it's common knowledge that red sports cars are far more visible to police than pickup trucks or minivans...I don't know why you're surprised. I guess you'll just be more conscious of your speed now, eh?

Im always paranoid of somthing like this happening...

and ive always wondered if cops would get pissed/give you a hard time if you asked them "why didnt you pull over the car that was passing me?/going faster than me?"

dude i have an awesome method for getting rid of tickets and improving your relationship to law enforcement:

dont break the law.

i have been in that exact situation and hating on cops never got me anywhere. i havent had a ticket in almost 5 years because i dont go over the speed limit unless i would be impeding traffic and causing a potentially dangerous situation in not doing so. i have abs. none on my record thanks to def. driving school, and im thankful for that because my insurance company has no reason to ream me.

i mean i guess you guys are right, but i figured if the other guys are floating in that speed, why couldnt i? answer: cuz i drive a red car, yea i know, i knoweither way, i give enough money to uncle sam, now i gotta give more to the city. plus i gotta go to traffic school, which is a waste of my time, i know i f'd up.... theres no point in having me sit for 2 days watching some dumb video and an ex-cop teacher try to tell me jokes that arent funny

p.s. i didnt chose red, it was already red when my uncle sold it too me, and its not like its bright red, its a faded 15year old paint red

I dont really buy into that whole deal. I have never gotten a ticket in my loud, flashy S13, which I'm almost always speeding in. However, it seems to be that when ever I borrow the most bland, boring, run of the mill, 100% stock saturn or honda, which I drive slow because they arent fun fast, I seem to get really stupid moving violation tickets.

i used to. i found it pretty distracting imo cuz everyone from my highschool goes there. plus theres a lot of hot chicks there (supposidly 2nd rated from playboy to have the hotest girls or something like that). i needed to concentrate more on skoo than on chicks lol i'm goin to cal poly pomona now. i guess it really all depends on your major.
