im defintely going to do that, i just wanted to let it stay here in case anyone finds any errors...

Only thing im iffy is on the Y33s, but the only difference would be in the headlights (HID vs non HID)

Has anyone tried those Silverstars? I know they're probably not even close to real HIDs, but are they worth the extra expense?

When buying bulbs be sure to read the country of origin!!!!!!! Germany, Japan, Mexico, Indonesia, China. Think about quality accordingly.........most melted damaged sockets weve seen speak Spanish and Mandarian.

Not to say the other languages won't fail just that they don't do as much damage in the process.

For $20/bulb it is well worth the money. Make sure your headlamps aren't aimed high or you'll get a lot of oncoming traffic flashing their high beams at you.

Biggest complaint I've read on Silverstars is that they die after 6-12 months, so I cant justify the $40.

I just ordered some miscellaneous bulbs off eBay for $8, so we'll see how that works out (expectations are low).

That likely happens due to people who DONT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS and handle the bulbs with bare hands. You have to use rubber GLOVES in order for them not to burn out prematurely...

I have over a year in mine and theyre good as new... Most guys ive heard that instlal them properly last 2-3 years.....

They really make a huge improvement...

Actually, aren't they D2R bulbs??? I've never heard of anyone using a D2S bulb in a HID Reflector setup. D2S = Projector, D2R = Reflector.

I was just scrolling down to mention the same thing.....

I used D2S in a reflector housing and the light output is not focused, just shoots light EVERYWHERE. If you use D2Rs in a projector style housing you sacrifice alot of light output.... I think their website has the wrong bulb listed.

I'm using D2R bulbs with 02 Acura RL ignitier/ballasts with special bulb holder adapters in my G50, light output is awesome and they look OEM without blinding oncoming traffic too much.

Stongard is the only one who uses the 80 mil 3M for headlight armoring. All others use 40 mil. Call to get the claerance price on the G50 kits.

Search for my posts about high beam improvements for F50.Replacing stock bulbs with brighter ones doesn't extend range very much. Due to the broad beam dispersion of the reflectors in F50, brighter bulbs do provide more light, but it is dispersed as much as the stock ones, resulting in lttle range improvement. Thanks to the lousy high beam relfector in F50s, there is nothing simple that can be done to extend range for high speed driving at night, absent adding good driving lights. But the front end of F50s doesn't lend itself to doing that without making the car look like a Baja rally car.

Anyone who claims differently is deluding themselves. Science is science, and no matter how desperately one wants things to be different, it ain't gonna happen. High beam reflectors dictate the beam pattern, and increasing the light output won't change that. By all means, install brighter high beam bulbs, just don't expect much range improvement on F50s.

G50s are another story though. They have an excellent beam pattern, and increasing light output in them WILL extend range considerably.
