Seriously, I could not wait to see the off set. It fits good.

try dunlop sports fm901. those tires were sweet. but they suck in the rain. or try bf goodwrench g-force sports. they make both of those in almost every size.

those dunlops are real nice tires too. i think it's the sp sport fm901 in a new name or something. same tread design at least, just with a rain slot down the middle which my sports didnt have.

Run a 225 up front, get longer wheel studs, and run a small slip on spacer. 215f and 245 rear is gonna give you massive understeer. I would say 225f and 235 rear or 215/225 or 225/225.

You might not need anything. All I know is that I mounted a 16x8+35 with a 225/50/16 on the front of my car with kts coilovers, and I would have needed at least a 5mm spacer for it to fit. Stock suspension clearance is usually a little better. Just get the 225, and work from there.

Like I said, you are running stock suspension, so most likely, you won't need a spacer, and will clear 225. Don't limit your tire size because you don't want to run a spacer. You will benefit from a 225 up front. The people on here telling you not to run a spacer have never used spacers and are just regurgitating hearsay. Ever heard of somebody actually having a problem with spacers? I didn't think so. I run them on the front of my car to flush up my wheels more. I drive my car hard, and I drift at events. As long as your lugs are torqued down, you are good to go. I am not even running nice spacers. I have non hubcentric, ebay ones. Just make sure that you use longer studs if you use spacers.

Again, I don't think you will even need spacers. Get 225/50s for the front. If spacers are needed, its OK to run them.

thanks so 225 front 245 rear? or 225 all around?

(sounds funny but i'm gonna ONLY use these wheels/tires on auto event only, want best neutral handling as possible.... plan to get kts coilovers too.)

Whatever you want. 225/245 will cause understeer, unless you are making a lot of power, but will look badass, 225/225 will be more neutral. I run 205/225 and it made me understeer worse than stock, but I recently added a whiteline rear sway bar. Problem fixed.

What do you guys mean when you say "under steer"?

Also, staggered wheels/tires look bad *** but you can't rotate your tires. I'm wondering if it's worth it.

Soon I'm going to order custome wheels for my 89. I've got Eibach pro kit.

I want to oversize the rear for a little more top end; say 17" with 50s but suppose you could go with any width & offset, what would you go with?

Understeer means that under hard cornering your car tends to loose traction at the front tires first. If I could chose any tire combinatino for my car, I would probably use the same size I have now 205/55/16 and 225/50/16, but with some toyo ra-1 tires.

In that case, I would lean towards using 245s in the rear.

when your car just won't turn cuz front loss/weak traction.... can i say opposite of drifting? LOL

I know i can't do tire rotation, i am going to use all-season street tire for my daily driving... so i don't mind if it's stagger.

No, but then again, I am not running 225 on an 8+35 up front. Only said I have mounted it before to see if it would fit.
