Post Title: Clutch issues
Posted by: fiendelico at 11:05 AM 6/25/2009

I am having clutch issues on my 2001 Nissan Sentra SE 2.0. I push my clutch in and it does not return. I put my foot behind the clutch pedal and pull it up and the operation of the clutch slowly returns and works for brief time before not returning again. My clutch fluid is gray and dirty and was just below the minimum level before I added more. There are no visible leaks on the line. I will pull back the boot cover and check for a leak. Is it hard to replace the clutch master cylinder if that is what it is?

First bleed and replace the fluid. If there's no improvement, it's probably the master.

if so the clutch *throw out bearing* might of grinded through the pressure plate teeth!

check thickness of clutch disc? and make sure the offset part is facing the pressure plate not the flywheel...
