As with many low cost consumer grade electrpnics it is often much cheaper to replace than to repair. Especially something 8-10 years old.
Buy A FEW off ebay and swap them out as they fail.
We have a local shop in ATL where we send owners with Audio problems.
As I remember it is $200 to examine and attempt repairs [parts are extra] but no promises as to success.
You might check around your largest or capital city for such a place.
