Post Title: MORE KICKPLATES PLEASE!!!! The Doc is at it again, just couldn't stay retired...
Posted by: rjdmmfl1 at 11:57 AM 9/26/2008

Ok, so yes, I know, I said I wasn't gonna do them anymore, but hey, Jay Z, Brett Farve, Micheal Jordan and Evander Holyfield didn't know when to stay retired either... no but seriously, interest is up again, I have the materials, so I figured why not...

I am offering Illuminated Kickplates that fit both the 4th generation Altima Sedan, 2008-2009 ALtima Coupe, and the 2009+ Nissan MAXIMA ONLY

** NEW FEATURES**

I will be using an additonal black silicone around the edges for a nice, clean install. If you have blonde interior, I will seal with a clear silicone. This will make for a more peramanent weather seal (BIg ups to DJ Max for this idea)

OK, so you know what they look like, but for a refresher, here is a link to a new thread with pics of various setups on various cars...

http://forums.altimas.org/zero...llery

COLOR:
Red, White, or Blue light

(*note, the white will appear pink during the day, this is normal for illuminated tape that lights up white, but when lit, it is a brilliant bright white like HID 6000K white...)

LETTERS: "NISSAN" or "ALTIMA" or anything up to eight letters.

(*I have had issues with longer lettering and I want to make sure that the seal is extremely tight)

OVERLAY:

Brushed Aluminum or *Carbon Fiber

(Carbon Fiber is +$30 extra, hey print shop pricing, not mine)

General pricing

$250 for Brushed Aluminum, $280 for Carbon Fiber, If you need aluminum kickplates, you must add $70 to the order, and expect it to take longer due to the kickplatesusually being on back order! SHIPPING IS FREE in U.S.,
only $10 to Canada

Example # 1:

White light, Brushed Aluminum, "NISSAN", Doc provides kickplates, Shipping to New York...
$250 + $70 = $320

Example # 2:
Red Light, Carbon Fiber, "ALTIMA", providing your own kickplates, shipping to Toronto

$280 + $10 = $290

PAYPAL ADDRESS: rjd_mmfl@hotmail.com

in notes please enter

1. Overlay type: Brushed Alumnium or Carbon Fiber
2. Light Color: Red, White, or Blue
3. Lettering: NISSAN or ALTIMA
4. KICKPLATES: providing own kickplates or Doc needs to buy (please specify black or blonde)

Woo Hoo! Thanks Doc!

What's the pricing for custom lettering? Up to 8 letters is fine.

Got a few ideas I want to run by you, I'll send you an email with questions if you don't mind. No way do I want to miss out on this again.

Thanks, I've been lurking since about two weeks before I bought my Coupe, but I'm loving it so far...wasn't going to spend any money on anything for a while, but decided this was too cool/rare to pass up.

Yea I made the mistake of takeing both the door panels off when only one was needed. Plus smoke breaks and I couldnt find my wire strippers so I used my switch blade. lol

This is the first car I have ever done any work on myself (other than stereo equipment) so it took me a bit longer. But I eventually figured it out and I had docs how to guiding me threw it. I have learned more about cars since I joined this forum than I have my entire life.

will the offer still be up ???

right now I will have to see how long Iwil have the offer up... orders are flying in like crazy right now via my email.. (I think 5 people have sent me their money already)

I don't want to wake up and it be 15 orders, these things take time to make... what I usually do is take orders until I run out of material... and that's usually about 12 orders or so!

Doc, I don't have the cash on me right now (I just spent way too much money on some Cubs playoff tickets), but I'll get it. I'm definitely in for the kicks. Please keep me on that order of 12 and I'll send you the cash as soon as I get it (I'm selling some of my extra crap to recover some funds that I desperately need for these mods!).

Took a great product and made it even better! Looks crisp and sleek!

Doc, I just got home from a wedding tonight. Earlier at the reception as we were pulling in the valet's jaw dropped when he took my car to park it (in the daylight) and he complimented me on them. Later on, the same valet brought my car to the door and again complimented me and said how amazing they look in the dark.

Thanks my dude.... I don't think folks realize exactly how good these things look at night... very subtle, but a nice addition to any car IMO!

No kidding. I've been whining about not having these for the last few months. The cost is relatively low and it's a simple install. Great way to make your car appear classier.

I would have bought them if they were 50$ or less like these awesome led kickplates
http://search.ebay.com/search/...o%3D2

but 360$ for kickplates is too much for me now, it was either kickplates or projector headlights.

It's $360 if you need Doc to supply the kickplates and do carbon fiber + shipping. That's what i want too but way out of my price rance. I was hoping for something like this to cost about $100, but it looks like i wasn't being realistic.

It depends on what you want...

if you need me to supply the aluminum kickplates, then your best bet would be to either purchase those now or send me the money so I can purchase them now. Those usually take about a week or so to get here. And the closer we get to the holidays, the longer it may take to get here!

Other than that, turn around time would be less than a week since your are the only ones I'd be working on right now!

sorry, for 4th gen Altima sedan, Altima coupe, and 2009 Maxima only! Its not that I'm being picky, its just that the materials I use work well with these kickplates without tons of modifications! Sorry fellas!

Hey, I'd like to purchase a set of these kickplates in carbonfiber. I would like the Nissan logo in red similar to l33th41's logo at the bottom of this page http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread?id=369486... I would like to adapt this to the 240sx. Do you know how much larger/smaller the dimensions are?
