Don't forgot the older models! They're equipped with the VG30E and VG33E (33E from 1999-2002), which are one of Nissan's more under rated engines. They are very overbuilt from the factory meaning they can handle a lot of abuse in stock form. Modified... well... 500+ hp out of a minivan anyone (or more if you wanted to)?
The VG33E is even better in the sense that they can handle a pretty extreme overbore. Looking for some extra pep but don't want to go with boost? They can be bored to nearly 3.8 liters and still retain a safe thickness for the cylinder walls. Get some wild cams and some head work and you'll have a normally aspirated minivan that can move... turbocharge that and you'll have a minivan that can put some hurt on some decent sports cars.
If I ever get a minivan the Quest equipped with a VG will definitely be my choice... you can definitely bet that I'll be turbocharging mine and going out to embarrass some sports cars.
Ok, ok... enough with the crazy performance talk. I can also help out with any issues you may be having with your VG.

But, it runs GREAT. 155k mi and it's paid off, so gotta love that. I refuse to buy some bubble-looking vehicle, and that's all I see anymore.
