The White Gurl, aka The Slut, [To elaborate on her name: Everyone wants to ride her, and shes willing to let you inside her, but in the end, all she wants is your money.] is going to be sold soon. Yes. Sad, I know. I feel a heavy heart every time I think of all that I've been through with that car, and I will miss her and all of the memories. She has a damaged crossmember, and I have had so many different instances of her sitting at the curb on life support, and me having to resurrect her that I finally decided that, while I may have been willing to keep pouring in blood and sweat.... It just wasn't worth it to me to shed yet more tears. A brief history:

For those who were here when I arrived, and still are, You may remember When I bought her and brought her home. She had a smashed up face and some damage to the upper frame rails which enclose the engine bay:

Here you can see the damage to the core support and rails:

I fixed all of that, replaced the core support, and proceeded to convert to JDMTyteness with an OEM S13 Silvia front:

Within the next few weeks, I removed the rear wing, and rattle-canned the front to match:

Had to do something with the trunk lid, couldn't have all them holes!

Looking proud after a purchase of a Monkey Magic front bumper spoiler:

And then later, I traded the stock front and rear bumpers for a full aero kit.

Other miscellaneous stuff: I got 2 flat tires on this *****. Those were pains in my ***... However, luckily I didn't have a mentality to try to shave weight... And always had my spare. You probably know about the Huggy Bear styled Polar Bear Fur (lol) dash, and all the painted door panels and all that isht. Custom cupholder, stereo, and other misc mods.

Anyway, enter a few months back. My dumbass had my first encounter with a (not-so) little thing called UNDERSTEER. Boy Meets World, as Car Meets Curb.

The damage that ensued:Passenger side Tension rod bracket.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, is I had f***'d up my tension rod as well (appeared to be undamaged) and also when the whole right wheel assembly was pushed back to the rear of the fenderwell, the LCA bent the crossmember where it meets. Pics:

So I replaced the tension rod brackets with a Nismo Power Brace. Felt really good... But I kept feeling a weird pop-slash-crack sound everytime I would take turns at almost full lock (like when I'd have to make a U-Turn)Until ONE NIGHT... When I felt it... And the next time I tried to brake... Oh Sh*t. All the sudden theres a grinding sound, and a f***'d up feeling coming from the front right. so I pull over, and bust out the flashlight and try to see whats bad. Can't see anything, so I just drive home... Using only th e-brake.

It is at this point that I'm like, Well, this is a sign.Talked to the parents, and mom loaned me the money for a nice little list of parts:

Godspeed suspension kit, including:F/R Sway barsand adjustable:Tension RodsRear Upper Control ArmsRear Toe Arms

TEIN Super Street coiloversTEIN Electronic Damping Force Controller [EDFC]

It was ****ing awesome. Got it all installed, and felt good. Real stiff.

UNTIL ONE NIGHT yet again. When I was getting the same popping feeling. I said,"Naw, F*** That."

Havent driven that car since. I wasn't about to snap yet another tension rod due to too much stress on it, due to no support behind the LCA from the crossmember.

So, enter the new girl, dubbed "the scraper" due to its ghetto-stylings (name will change once she's up to beautiful status... which means rear over fenders and paint.

Introducing (Drum roll, please!):

THE SCRAPER!

Close Ups of the Celica-Supra wheels and ghettorolled rear fenders:

My Little Man Flavor: Dampachi and the Porcupine dood:

Sunroof? Hell yeah, I've got a sunroof!

Digital Speedometer? I wonder if the HUD works?

Ya Gawddamn right it does!

A shot of the 350z knob and the headunit:

YAY AREAAAA!

Thats pretty nice, but I'm not really diggin the purple...OHSNAP, 7 Colors to choose from? Alright, yeah. That's pretty sweet.

So what happened to the Slut then?

And a shot of the EDFC, which I haven't gotten around to installing on the scraper yet.

So, the plans:

On the list to do, in any given order...

-Welded Diff.-Rear Over Fenders/ Paint (kinda thinking this is priority....)-I still need to take my rear speakers from the old coupe-Still need to install the EDFC-Will be swapping muffler for another one that came with the car (guy wants his back, he's paying the cost)-Need to get an alignment soon too.-R32 GTR seats in the future-Did I mention Paint?-Subwoofers to satisfy the scraper's need for booooom.-Need to adjust the trunk latch/fuel door lever cable (help?)-Need to swap out the ignition and door locks from the Slut (see attached link to the other thread with info on all that.)[Link: zer...08006 ]-Need to get that smell outta the interior (febreeeeeeeez)-Will be doing a custom VIP Suede interior.-Headliner will be dyed black-Carpet too, most likely.-Rear seats, maybe.

I think thats all I can think of for the moment.

That's the first thing I noticed. I immediately wondered what kind of wreck it had been in, or if I was just crazy and something was up with the road.

Yeah, the fitment is off a little... But I just threw those parts on real quick. I haven't spent much time with it... Not the absolute highest thing on my priority list at the time. I will get to it soon enough.

I pulled a literal all nighter last Fri Night/Sat morning, swapping all suspension parts over.... and then had a meeting at 8am and then worked a double. That wasn't a great idea. The crash from 3 Monster M-80s really gets to you when you have to function normally all day.

Yeah... but the tires were sticking out too far, and rubbing on every single peblle I ran over. So I pulled the fenders with vice grips and a heavy *** hammer.... the rear fenders aren't real pretty anyway, so Im going to do 30mm over fenders... it'll cover up the ghetto job.

PS Ive got some serious camber goin on back there too.. Its kinda hard to tell in the pics though.

Oh...

No it actually was really really straight.

That was just a weird *** angle, and I think the shadowing of the umbrella makes a little bit of an illusion.

But the camera was the main culprit there, plus the angle at which I took the shot. Lemme grab another pic real quick, it looks better than.

It actually feels really, really quality.

For $400, I'd say jump on it.

But, as we all know, The Test Of Time.

We'll see after a few months. I've only been able to roll with it all for a short time.

lol, im using a socket wrench under there.

I'm not very organized... I always seem to set down my socket wrench and then forget where i put it. At least once per day that I'm wrenching.

Don't you love it when that happens. Where you have one 10mm wrench and no 10mm socket, you put the 10mm down for 1 second, and spend the rest of the fuggin afternoon looking for it?

Yes. The joys of working on cars.

Hahahah Damn that whole post had me

Been there with the socketbowl... my boss when I was working construction fabbed up a ghetto straight pipe with a pen and an 8mm socket. hahaha.

and thank god, for a minute there I thought I was the only one who liked the dash.

Yeah Im thinkin a little more Bippu inspired with this one.

Paint will most likely be black... and Im thinking a full black suede interior. Dash, door panels (not just the inserts) trim... dye carpet and headliner black...

Im thinkin VIP.

Vip could be very nice on the interior of a 240, haha for mine i'm thinking euro styled, real clean but eye catching with contrasting colors, love them black interiors though, and the funny thing is i have a drawer in my tool box for socket bowels, all the off brand old sae ones, for some reason though i always find my snap on metric ones being used..sick little bastards

Sorry about the slut, but the scrapper looks to be coming along haha. The exact same thing is wrong with my crossmember, but I noticed it before I snapped anything. the previous owner hit a curb, and you know the rest. I'm just waiting to go get my 5sp transmission so I can swap that in while the engine is out for the x-member repair. It's going to be a long week haha.

If I had the time and the money I would have just swapped out the xmember.

Those are just a couple of luxuries I don't have.

As long as I can sell the old one for the price of the new one (to at least break even) then itll be worth it to me. Its an upgrade in basically every way, with the exception of the body and paint... which will be addressed. The body is pretty straight except for the rear qp's, so I'm gonna get 30mm overfenders and then a paintjob and itll be all good.

Just thought I'd bring it up again... For a little bit of a visual reference. The general direction I want to go with in the interior is this (I'm sure you've all seen this car):

Wow. I just looked at that pic of that interior, and I can't ****in wait.

UPDATES:

-Installed the rear speakers from the old coupe-Installed the GhettoRig Slumpsystem2000 to satisfy the scraper's need for booooom. (Pics later...)-Fixed the trunk latch/fuel door lever cable-Installed the shaved trunk lid (shaved lock and spoiler) from old coupe.-Swapped the ignition and Drivers door handle from the Slut (still need to finish passenger side.)-Got rid of the nasty smell from the interior (trunk carpet smelled horrrrrrrible.)-Swapped all seats (brown and adjustable headrests ) for the gray seats from the old coupe.-Cleaned up the garage quite a bit... Its been a hell of a mess since the all-nighter I pulled a couple weekends ago (to swap out the suspensions)

I'm hungry.... and really thirsty. Imma go do something about that.

You need to be shot for such abuse on an S-13.But since you tried to spend money on it instead of car crusher, I'll let it slide.
