i still have all my ****. that i NEED to sell despritely.

im probably keeping the engine. i seriously feel like keeping it and building an NA monster, dropping it in a 510 or something.

as soon as my for sale thread was moved out of here i got no hits.

i know someone out there wants megasquirt. i have 98% of everything you need.

most of the hard stuff is done, if your interested shoot me an email.

i thought since im KEEPING the motor that you guys would have some mercy for me. i just need the money from the megasquirt.

"balls" and megasquirt" are two words that should not be used together I think. Do the NA motor ya wee girl, no balls!

i havent had a running 240 for almost a year now. breaking **** and never ending frustrations with maf's, cas's, coilpacks, etc, led to megasquirt. right before finishing it i had issues with my job and woman so i didnt have the money for. now i just miss it. i got a sick deal on a running stock rb20 swap. so the plan was to sell all this stuff, buy the rb20 and i would have a running car again. its just a matter of having a REAL car again. not a fking miata.

CH187: Hey, email me at zmannzatgmaildotcom(replacee the "at" and "dot" with their correct symbols) about this megasquirt. I can't say for sure I can afford it this week but I would be able to to soon. I need to know what all it includes if posble. I.e. sensors, wires, what stock stuff it replaces, etc. I'd be using it to run the ca in my rx7.

seems like you've had a 'rough ride' with your CA18.At least, when your CAS, MAF, coilpack.... oh, and timing belt, head gskt, etc breaks, you'd have better CA18 parts availability vs RB.

An RB is a tough motor tho. Even stock they run stronger, sound sweeter and way smoother than the CA18 tho... good stuff for the money imo.

Miata can be monsters, but not plug 'n play..... not even close. $$$$

Don't we have a "resident CA18 magasquirt man" ?One shouldn't "need balls" as long as he's "holding your hand" (make sure its your hand he's holding and not your balls tho - lol).

D.I.Y. offers something similar for the toyota 4AG (u.s. distributor). They offer a plug n play miata version too incidently. We have a somewhat 'resident megasquirt man' for our 2.6 starions, that offer some spinoff. You can get fuel-only $495 or add $200 for ignition control. This path REALLY takes the sting out of megasquirting. They send you on your way with a base map. Some folks put down 3-450 ft-lbs tq to the tires not long after d.i.y. install & tune.Kinda 'short-cut' way that seen good results

me saying have the balls for MS is just a saying. it really is not all that hard and yeah there are a few people out there that can "hold you hand" through it all. i probably wouldnt have done it if there werent.

is yours a MS I or II? if its a I i can give you a base map to start off of. and if you sent it to me i could plug it into my car possibly and setup the software and get it to where it could idle..

jon

MS is nice for a cheap standalone as long as you have some PC knowledge and automotive EFI intelligence. I lack both so i have to pay a friend haha.

I'll take that if you don't mind. This is my first foray into completely custom standalones. I installed an AEM system in my old supra but it was plug 'n' play and came off a running car identical to mine so it was sort of cheating. Thanks so much for the update man. Just so everyone knows its been smooth sailing to deal with ch187. Good straight forward communicator and quick service.
