Okay... after much thought, I went back to the drawing board on my mod strategy.

1. Really like the BBK - the look and the potential performance improvement (G37 BBK with Stoptech D/S and Goodridge SS lines) - 4 hours of labor according to my installer (better than the dealer estimate of 8 hours).2. Want to avoid the use of spacers (sz...I think you will be happy to hear that... and it does make sense... why introduce another possible point of failure)3. On the thought of #2, considering getting Vossen VVS-085http://www.vossenwheels.com/vo....html >> 20x9, +38mm offset on the front running 245/35R20>> 20x10.5, +45mm offset on the rear running 275/30R204. Lowering the car with Eibach

My concerns are...> None of the installers really knows if any Vossen wheel will work flush with the fender with the BBK setup on the M.

> Is running 275 on a 10.5 okay? Should I consider going with 285/30? Would this slightly wider tire rub into my fender? Look strange?

> Maybe I should consider running stock height until I get the BBK and wheels put in. Just to get a feel for those mods?

Your thoughts?

A local installer in Garden Grove or online - still shopping around. Hmm... if there are more of us... maybe we can get a group discount on the rims. Seems the wheel dealers are dealing them out right now. Let me know if you are interested.

My old set up was >> 20x9, +30mm offset on the front running 245/35R20>> 20x10, +35mm offset on the rear running 275/30R20 using Eibach springs and I had no issues rubbing and they were pretty flush in the rear not in the front, but now Im running coilovers about a 3.5 inch drop all 4 and running 225 35, and 255 35 tucked under the fenders VIP Style and 10mm spacers in the front and 5mm spacers in the rear the front rubbs every so offen when i make a u quick U turn, from the top view my lip of my wheels stick out but the tires are streched so they fit under the fenders so it looks Hella Flush!

skim - nice pic in your sig! It seems that there isn't an exact science in my quest for fitting an aftermarket wheel with the BBK I am planning to put in. I wonder if I know what I am doing with all this.

>> Maybe someone here can direct me on understanding how to properly calculate offset and clearance given the setup I am going for.

Here we go: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.aspBTW, i am in on a group buy for a set of Vossen's. I am still working on a deal with a forum member here on a 20" setup, but I am also open to other suggestions. Don't need the wheels at all since I have a custom 22" setup on my ride right now, but always entertaining a decent deal so that I can switch when I get bored. Let me know.

nadzak - I would be interested. How far along are you in working out the group buy deal? Is there any more insight I can provide? The wheel setup I described above would run me approx. $2650 (mounted, balanced, tax included) in CA. And that is a price with only me being a buyer.

Kerry - so is that your ride that is featured on the Vossen website? Nice.

Do you have it lowered? If so, on what? springs? coilovers? More details please. I am considering the VVS085 with the machined face, black accents, and polished lip. This would be on a Moonlight White M45s. Since you've obviously seen the wheels in person, you think I am going in the right direction? And nothing too outlandish for the white M? I'm thinking the polished lip will be a nice balance to the chrome finish on the door handles, grill, and emblems.

Spacers?! Really?! Why stop there... and put a big fat white racing stripe down the middle of the car.
