heres the problem i have a 88z which i had planned to drop my vg30de in. well today i got a great deal on a 90z but come with out the transmission and driveshaft i was wondering if i would would beable to take the 5 speed trans from my 88 and drop it in my 90 or should i just find a z32 trans?
1 The box will bolt to the engine,but the starter faces forward. 2 The gearlever is not in the right place 3 drveshaft needs to be mod 4 z31 flywheel and clutch dont bolt to the motor 5 z32 speedo sensor is electronic and does not work in a z31's T5 assuming its a BW T5 you have in your z31 6 the clutch hydrolics are not the same Having said that it can be done,but I think its cheaper/easier to get a z32 box.A z32 box is also stronger by the way.
