  2006 Nissan Quest Bearing ISSUE 11:22 AM 11/20/2009

So I have a 2006 Quest 3.5SE 5-spd Auto. The drivers side CV Axle was shot so i replaced it with an aftermarket one. I noticed upon taking the old one out that it was sloppy on the transmission side. Put the new one in and all went well. The reason for this post is that it makes a horrible noise from the drivers side wheel well and its a pulsating noise. I figure its the hub bearing. Although when i turn the wheel, the noise doesn't progress or diminish. I jacked up the drivers side and shook the wheel...all is tight. I grabbed the CV axle in the middle and notice that on the transmission side it is terribly sloppy (moves up and down and side to side about 3/8 of an inch...now its a BRAND NEW CV Axle and not a refurbished one. Has anyone had any trouble with the tranny bearing going where the CV Axle goes into the trans? ANY help or advise is appreciated.

also, the CV axle is in the trans all the way...i know that for sure. I really need some online diag help...lol. Thanks for the patience

Thanks Ricebike...where did you find that directory?

I noticed you own a 89 240SX...I used to own one and have a brand new OBX Racing pipe for sale for a SOHC 2.4L...if you didnt do the DOHC swap yet...
