I was cleaning the block surface today to get it ready for the metal headgasket I got and found this curve dent that looks like a hammer hit it. There is already a 1.5mm oil restrictor in it which makes me think the guy before may have struck the block with a hammer while driving it in. I'll post a pic up now. I'm guessing I can't use a metal headgasket now since it probably wont seal. Let me know what you guys think.

Heres the pic. I can easily feel it with my finger nail. f*** I feel like killing a small animal!!

Don't even mess with a metal head gasket. Slap a stocker on there and some ARP's and call it a day. You won't regret it.

So a stocker should be fibrous enough to work with this dent? I'm planning on 20psi of boost.

I don't think that part of the headgasket is going to see a lot of cylinder pressure, you'll be fine. What Darius meant was ignore what the internet says. Stock HG's are the best sealing, best performing gaskets out there. They aren't going to blow out because you X amount of boost. It's all about cylinder pressure anyways. What do you think 30psi of boost is compared to the 100's if not 1000's of psi of pressure the cylinder sees when the air/fuel goes bang? That's beside the point. Only reason for an aftermarket gasket is for a different size.

Thanks Darius and CJ for the quick responses. A factory head gasket will be ordered.
