I don't have the money yet, but I wanna decide in advance what coilovers I need to get. I'm not planning on doing a lot of drifting so I don't need drift spec coils. I may go to the local track every now and then just to have some fun, but other than that this car is my daily driver so I need something nice and comfortable. I have put into this poll a few of the coils that I know of and have been thinking about buying. I don't care how much they cost as long as it isn't too far above 1500. I am willing to save up. Here is what I have so far, and please feel free to add your own suggestions.

NOTE: I wouldn't mind some accounts of personal experiences with certain coilover systems in your DD.

Totally. If you buy coilovers, prepare for a harsh ride (regardless of what people will tell you).

Get a set of Eibach springs and call it a day.

I had the eibach springs with agx, and it felt some what harsh but not stiff. Switched to KTS, and it feels a lot smoother than the eibach.

I run stance gr+ pro and I took the pre load off the springs and left the dampening at the same as I have on the track and it rides pretty decent. Plus the build quality of stance gr is really beefy. The basics look real cheap as do other cheaper coilovers. Although the +pro isn't the most expensive or best coilover out there, it's very nice for the price.

I vote cut springs. They did it on Monster Garage, and I saw a guy who did it and his car was super low (low=faster). It was so low that the entire bottom of his car scraped. He had to raise his engine for this reason of course or by by oil pan.

I've heard from quite a few people that those are a the rougher side.

And with the megans, that whole "there the same as apexi" thing comes up.

that said my vote is stance GR+, trackable but compromised somewhat for comfort vs the pros.

only smart people run those....

the 86xx series is really good, but more expensive. I myself and going to settel for the Koni yellows with GC. Should be very nice.

Not really....some people don't feel comfortable with the home made housings.

For $1500 get Tanabes Pro Fives. Most coilover dampers can be re-built and set to your specs and driving style, but the truth is a 240sx or any sport car is never going to ride like a Buick. Get a high quality coilover kit with real dampening adjustments.

I was starting to think possibly along the lines of KYB struts and maybe Eibach springs. That might fit for a comfy ride. Also, I don't wanna sell my car. I <3 my 240. f*** sedans.

How about Stance LX, I've heard that those are pretty soft.
