Can trim around steering wheel be replaced?

Guys,

For some reason the silver trim around my steering wheel (where the volume button etc is) has peeled off. Can this be disconnected and replaced or do you have to replace the whole steering wheel? Thanks,
Jonny

After doing some research it appears it is available for $192. I think I will deal with it

If it's anything like the Armada/Titan, then you need to remove the steering wheel to get to it. Which means the airbag has to be removed. Not a terribly difficult process, but if you have any qualms about removing a device that has the potential to severely injure or even cause death and/or you don't want to accidentally allow the clockspring to inadvertently be unwound during the removal of the wheel, then I suggest letting the dealer handle it. I did mine, in the Titan, and it wasn't nearly that pricey. But I think newer ones light up so that might be part of any additional cost. Of course, they may be charging more for the Infiniti parts as well.

Pepirrone - Infiniti USA

C-Kwik - thanks man. I have removed plenty in my time. If I do remove it, which I doubt I will now as I don't want to mess with the steering wheel, I would pull the -neg cable and be on my way

Regards,
Jonny
