So, the long and short of it, is a guy I work with who has been a PITA for years, has said he'll eat a Balut. This all started when we were talking about nasty food, and he said it didn't sound bad, and that we were just pu**ies.

So for those of you who don't know, a Balut is a half incubated deck embryo.

I was curious as to how much like a duck, and how much like an egg it was. I cracked one open and checked it out. There is NO WAY IN HELL I could eat one of those. I will be a good sport and boil it for him in the morning before work. None the less,

Took some pics to share with you guys.

Sweet.

BTW, you should see Andrew Zimmern's reaction when he had to eat one on Bizarre Foods. He's a real champ tho, he kept it down!

You ever see that show called "Man vs. Food"?

THAT guy has some serious ability. I wonder who pumps his stomach after the show?

I definitely wouldn't eat one, but it's neat looking.

You should go and gut a fish one time.

Oh yeah, and then grow a pair. It's really not that bad. But they don't smell very good fresh out of the shell.

Dude, the aged duck eggs that I bought for him smell like crap. I would eat the Balut, before the aged duck egg.

Oh really? A fish is not even bad to gut. Go gut an elk. No, better yet, a smelly freaking javalina. I can do that kinda stuff all day.

A half grown chicken still encased in its embryo is sick.

Well, you said you threw up a little, yet you can gut animals just fine. You are inconsistent.

I didn't LITERALLY throw up. But things that haven't been fully developed are gross.

Nah, I'm not paying him. He eats it, or pays me for my cost of the Baluts and aged eggs.

Yeah, he has two plates full of foulness to eat.

No, I won't take a pic of the inside of the aged eggs. They are in the garage, because they stink so badly.

The aged eggs are green right? I think those were on the same episode of taboo as the balut.

Yep. Green with a few bits of white shell still visible. They smell like the nastiest foulest fart ever, and that wasn't even with the shell cracked.
