Per the advice in the following thread,:

zerothread/313924

I tapped the motor several times and the seat remains stuck. Yanking and pushing on the seat has not fixed the problem either.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed from here?

Same issue with my 2003 Pathfinder. So far I have found out there is a bulletin covering this problem (unable to locate so far) and there is a kit made for it. The part # 87562C9925, part name Motor, Driver S. Price on internet $207.00. Price at dealer $306.77. Don't know what is included in the kit and or how complex the job is. Has anyone ordered this and done the job?Site for part. nissanfactoryparts.com

Happened to my 01 PF years ago. I forget the total costs from Dealer - but required new seat motor. I now have a bad rear driver side window motor that needs to be replaced. 2 others operate slowly on & off again. I tried applying WD-40 to the window tracks - helped a little.

There is a bulletin on this that allows you to just replace the motor assemblies. I don't remember the part number, but there is two different ones, one for vehicles with memory seats and one for vehicles without that. It's actually called "Automatic Driver Positioning" or something like that.

I have the TSB for this as a .pdf if anyone would like me to e-mail it to them... unless there is a way to post pdf's on here. My seat has stopped moving forward & backward a couple of times & I've gotten it moving by tapping the motor. But it has been stuck for a while since then. Now the right side of the seat moves & the left doesn't. Both sides move off of the same motor so I don't think this TSB applies to me. There's nothing obvious stuck in the track but I haven't pulled the seat out to really see what's going on.

Give me your e-mail address & I'll send it to you. I don't see a way to post .pdf files in the forum.

Is it possible to get that TSB as well? My seat is doing the same thing, and I have been told the only solution is to buy a whole new seat...

I sure could use a copy of the TSB for the Seat Problem. I'm having the same identical problem with my 01-QX4.

Thanks, Leonard

Hey, I know I haven't gotten back to some people that wanted the TSB emailed to them. This, and all of the other TSBs are available here. http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums...d=235 If you register for free you can download 2 files per day. Paid members get unlimited downloads.

I just did this 10 mins ago and it is fixed:
pull on the headrest while pushing the motor lever forward. Yank on it, don't just pull. My seat moved forward right away. I noticed grit on the tracks, cleaned it up and works like it was never broken.

If it clicks and does not move, don't pay $$$$ to have someone else fix it. Just pull on that headset and make it happen!

I had this problem with my 2002 Qx4 which I posted a few weeks ago...i tried before by pushing the seat, but yesterday i tried it again as you mentioned above, by pulling and the seat moves back and forward again.

is it good to fully clean the tracks? or is better to re-grease the tracks? what should i use? thanks for your help pbarry!

Had the problem with the seat motor jamming when the seat was all the way back. If you press the area where the electric motor connects to the output shaft, push it up into the seat it will allow the shaft to turn while you press the seat position button. Works for me, seems to be an alignment problem between the motor and the shaft that causes the electric motor to jam when it's all the way back.

Hey guys,

go underneath the seat, use some tool where you can bang a couple times on the seat motor. It should work again. Nissan seat motors are famous for being stuck.
