Nice photos. But you should have taken off the advertisement front plate!

That's the first thing I rip off of my friend or family member's cars when they get something new. I hate that stuff, makes the car look like a billboard..."why give them free advertising?" is my reasoning behind it.

I respectfully disagree. The hatch is more "Subaru"-like, the sedan shows the Toyota influence that has made the new Impreza gone soft IMO. The STi hatch is pretty awesome, but I can't get over the overall tubbiness of the car. Subaru most have known they were getting out of WRC before they made this car and hence its watered down appearance and performance. Or perhaps Toyota helped with that decision (besides the economy going sour that is). I despise Toyota (shakes fist).

Agreed. The rear of the sedan is very corolla-like.

One of my favorite things about the 2nd gen Impreza sedan's styling was the way the sides of the deck lid angled inward.

You have no idea how Toyota's partnership with Subaru saddens me. I've been a Subaru fan since high school. I think it will spell the end of Subaru. No more fun cars... I wonder how they're taking it up in New England? Probably hard..

The new Subies aren't what I'd call pretty. Hell, no Subie is what I'd call pretty.

Previous Subarus looked like Subarus, though.

You take great pictures Beancooker! Car looks great.

For those who are saying Subaru doesn't make fun cars, go drive an 09 WRX sedan or hatch. After that come back and comment.

I backed to back an 06 sedan and an 09 sedan a week ago.

I'd have bought the GD, even without the extra power.

Yeah, I thought that when I was taking the pics, but didn't have a screwdriver.

FWIW, I didn't buy it for looks. I bought it because I wanted something faster than the G, more fun to drive, and brand new. I also wanted a factory turbo. For the money, it's more fun for the dollar than anything else I could find.

Manual. 5speed.

If it's an Impreza with a turbo, Subaru doesn't give the option for an autotragic.
