are there any leds on you amp that show power is on? double check all wiring (power, remote, ground, RCAs, speaker) and any fuses. sometimes depending on the fuse, they can be hard to tell if they're blown. you can use a volt meter to insure power through the wires to the amp. did you install the wiring kit or was it already there?

You probably hooked it up wrong. Did you hook up the remote wire to a 12v switched source? Did you clean around the area you drilled your ground into?

well if nothin caught fire thats a good sign. for the remote use a small jumper wire for 12v input to remote. then check for good ground.
turn key on u should have power to amp. if not check fuse. gl

I'm having a similar problem. I have an infinity 10" sub with a built-in amp and i can't get it to power on. Can you explain what a 12v switched source is?

I'm thinking my problem is the remote wire. I tried a test by running a small wire from the amp's battery connection to the remote connection and it powered on one time, however I haven't been able to get it to do that again. Fuses still appear to be ok. I dunno about my ground, i didn't drill anything, I just hooked it up to a screw near the license plate area that has a black metal plate.

So the blue/white wire coming from my pioneer head is hooked up to another wire that goes straight to the remote connection on the amp/sub. Also running rca cables from sub output of head unit to inputs on amp. Should the remote wire from amp be hooked up to something else?

Also, I've done this to my car if it makes a difference : Successful S13 rear factory amp bypass

a 12v switched source is a wire that recieves 12v when key is turned forward.
if fuses are good, make sure your ground is good. make sure its on the body and sand away any paint. make it shiny metal. make sure amp is still getting power at its source. if it is, its possible a bad amp or something in amp is bad.
if you know nothing about electrical let someone who does do this for you.
having a meter is must.

step 1 is always check all fuses.2 make sure your power wire is hooked up to positive post on battery with an inline fuse that is not blown.3 ground your amp to a bolt..it should still turn on even if it is not a great ground..
Check your remote wire too..this has happened to me on occasion..also check the screws on your amp and make sure they are shoved in all the way to the amp so you are getting good contact
