mine was doing the same thing, i found a site about it and grabbed a multi meter and reset it and it did alot better, the main culprit is generally the idle sensor which is about a 180 new or a 100 from auto zone doing that this week and hope it evens out the idle

actually I'm having a similar problem except I'm driving down the freeway and the car i guess stalls and pressing the pedal does nothing, then all of the sudden it kicks back on again, if you finnagle with the accel a little bit. my idle is fine. what is going on?

Solution: I ran diagnostic mode IV on the ecu and ended up getting a negative reading on the tps. I then checked the terminals of the idle switch and the tps connectors (as they are on the same unit) and every thing was fine. Then I hooked up a multi meter to the tps connecter Like Dino Guy said, and got a 9.65 Kohm or 9,000+ ohms reading. Tps is obviously no good, so I bought a new one, adjusted it to .7 Kohm (700 ohm), ran mode IV again and now everything is fine.
