Well I just finished my latest project. I originally bought the car as a budget build daily driver sohc ka-t. I had no plans to go this far with it, but once I pulled the sohc out and started cleaning up the engine compartment I decided to change the color (I am a painter at a collision repair shop here in central IL)from the original white to something a little nicer. once I started spraying the new color (07 G35 garnet fire mist) I really liked the new direction the car was going. From then on parts were coming in almost daily. I didn't even started building this car until mid-late March. I don't post much on here, I just lurk around searching info and spend the rest of my time in the shop. I built this car from the ground up completely by myself. let me know what you guys think.

nice man. I was actually just admiring that color earlier this week. Was thinking, that looks good. Wonder how my car would look painted like that.

I really like the whole car man, good job.

Wow that's amazing.

I would suggest nicer wheels, and not in red?

again thanks for the feedback.

As far as the wheels go they are cheaper wheels but I think they look good for now. They may be upgraded later, but my priorities are getting my Neukin manifold and dp and build a custom dash cluster with Nexus or Defi gauges. My budget always get spent more more on the perfomance / function side of things first. I am sure it will have more upgrades in the future, because a car is almost never done!

Awesome car.

May I ask how much you've spent altogether on the rebuilt?

The red is a really nice color but there is a little to much of it.

How could people say there is too much red? Just because his VC and timing cover are red?I think the black roof more than makes up for "too much red".

Besides, it's a great color and he obviously did a great job at laying it down.

It's great to see a pignose so well done
