Thanks, Paul for posting that. That's exactly what we have on our Rogue. We're contemplating maybe trying to make another sound clip/video so people can see the speeds in which it happens or something. But basically, drive no faster than 35 mph (although you can hear it at this speed too) in a quiet area, lift your foot off the pedal and you can duplicate it if you have it. If not... consider yourself lucky! And if you haven't experienced it with more than 2,000 miles on the car, chances are you won't. It starts before that... usually between 750 - 1,700 miles on the odometer. But our car didn't make the noise either when we first bought it. If we heard it on the lot, we would've said, no way am I buying a new car making that much noise.paulvanharte wrote:
I am so frustrated with this. All I get from Nissan Canada: we are working on it. From no rattle when we got the car to this!!!

I did actually, more so the high RPM's. When going down a small grade the engine rpm's would race ad in no way reflect the speed I was travelingBigtamw65 wrote:Has anyone started to experience decreased power and the RPM's rev high?

I can only hope that Nissanwill figure out a solution, or do a recall if needed, as soon as possible.
That TSB just describes how to properly initialize the tranmission after it is replaced. I applies to any current Nissan with an automatic OR CVT transmission, not just the Rogue.tikus wrote:Can this happening? NTB08064 - SERVICE INFORMATION. It did mention. 2008 Rogue [S35] with CVT.

Those of you with this noise - are you doing mostly city or highway miles?
You may be getting an occasional spark knock, which is normal, especially for Nissan's that run lean.jsellberg wrote:i get a slight rattle sporadically. very light and very short usually when i'm decelerating going into a turn or something. but it doesnt really happen enough for me to notice it all the time. i know the sound though.
its probably a heat-shield on your exhaust. common on every carNissan92 wrote:Does anyone have a sound/video clip of this? I cannot get this one of the first post to work. It just takes me to a photobucket. I think my Rogue rattles at the initial acceleration but I don't know what I am listening for? Thanks for any help!
Is this something that I can fix/tighten? How would I know if it were a CVT issue? I do not feel like it shifts weird or anything but I am not a mechanic.its probably a heat-shield on your exhaust. common on every car
