yep, just like BFgoodrich commercials say, "Power is nothing without control"

To be honest, I thought you would be in the ballpark of 220 hp at 8psi, i'm on 10psi and I can beat s2000's and srt-4's which are 230-240hp. Are you planning on more boost later?

when i dynoed a couple weeks before this.. it was 103 deg outside.. i made 204hp with my street tune.

the most he was able to get out of it with the dyno tuning etc was 190 but as i mentioned, the AFR's are perfect. im not upping the boost... keeping things the way they are. i have 5 more events and a lot of driving to do before i leave for japan... the last thing i need is to take the motor to another level and cause **** to go wrong. if i was staying, i would have a built KA right now with Tec3, meh... i may up it... ill check compression tomorrow to ensure my motor is healthy, its running like a champ so i know its all good.

HAHAH WD tips yea.... just like you give tips at Hooters EH... ahaha

well if you are already kicking a$$ at the track why increase the boost and beat on your engine more if you don't have to? lol

but i think your engine could handle an easy, reliable 12 psi with careful tuning of course

no doubt... im still amazed how this setup is not faster than my first one...... it primarily do to my suspension setup bigger wheels and the ****ty track i ran on... Im going to take it back to MIR where pinks was filmed to run my car again. I ran a 13.7 at 104 mph at 6-8 psi with a Garrett z31 T3

ps

your car looks good bro

what kinda spool were you getting with that t3? I am debating whether to get one myself because you can see my mph is pretty high but my time is still kinda "eh". That's crazy how you were doing 13's with such low boost!

ps thanks!

not to bag or anything like that but i thought 195hp and 185tq is low for a ka-t. i thought with the same set up as a sr20, you usually get around 220-230 across the bored????remember just a question, not talking **** ok

oh no its cool man respectable question.

yes a stock sr20 ( s13 ) is rated at 205hp from the factory

my goal when i built my KA-T was not to have a monster motor. its a very fun quick 13 second ride that's powerful enough to drift and has a good amount of TQ to pull me out of the corners.

i have had 3 different turbos and manifolds and my total cost to date with all my parts is maybe a little over $2100ish. I used forums and local shops to get my parts so my cost were low.

in the end, its about being slightly different, i never wanted an SR.

Stock SR w/ stock boost = 170 whp. So 195 whp is pretty darn good!
