EX35 Cargo Mat...

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I phoned my Dealer and they wanted $145.00 Canadian Dollars for a Factory Infiniti EX35 Cargo Mat, Black in Color.

Thank God, somebody here posted an eBay Auction for one that only cost me $45.00 all together.

He's shipping it via USPS too... so I shouldn't have to pay any Duties/GST on it.

Got my cargo mat today, and no, couldn't buy it for $25 off eBay because I have the "stone" interior.

The MSRP for this mat is about $160 in Canada and $60 in the US (although it's commonly discounted to $52 or less in the US).

Take a gander at the sticker that came with it ...It's made in Canada!!!! Talk about adding insult to injury!

(Yes, I ordered it from the US.)

Considering that it is manufactured on Canada, I hope you did not have to pay duty to "import" it back in

That would really by adding insult to injury!

Anyone know where I can get a good deal on this black cargo mat? Don't want to pay $100+ in Canada

The photo of the tag is great, but how about a photo of the mat installed in your EX?

The cargo mat is key...I've been using the sh*t o ut of my cargo area and the mat is an absolute necessity. One of the best investments in the vehicle.

I didn't like the fact that it comes with 2 Holes in it, already.

Why not have it all one piece... and if you need the Holes for the Folding Storage Thingy... then you can go and cut out the Holes with a Knife.

Seems to me that would be the logical thing to do, right ?

My EX has the ties on the sides. So why did they make the holes in the cargo mat?

Please ask for me, I tried to contact the seller but I wasn't able to because (hehe... I never purchased on eBay). Went to infinitipartspeople for both the mat and organizer but they were going to charge me $180+ just for ground shipping to Toronto

Wondering if everyone who purchased the cargo mat from the dealer receive an original Infiniti product?

I ordered a cargo mat with my EX, and my dealership gave me an after the market cargo mat with sticker stuck on it. To make matters worse, the rear hatch would not close because the mat infringed on the lock mechanism, I have to slam it a few times after giving the mat a jig. When I told them that I was not provided with an OEM, they told me it "was" an original Infiniti product Sticking an infiniti badge on a hyundai certainly does not make it an infiniti

They said the would replace it, but so far it has been 1.5wks and I have not heard back from them. grrr

Mine came in a NISSAN/INFINITI Box with and Instruction Sheet with NISSAN/INFINTITI written all over it.

It fits well and the Hatch closes like it should.

$25.00 for the Mat off eBay and $20.00 for Shipping.

Mine was ordered with the car when I got it. I have the original Infiniti "installation" instructions. Like you really need installation instructions....................

The Sheet could have at least explained what the 2 Holes were all about in a perfectly good Mat.

I had to read about it on here, what the 2 Holes were for.

Again, I wished the Mat was entirley solid and then you could cut the Holes out, if needed.

Mine's definitely original, as you can see by the pics I posted of the sticker and the cargo organizer. If you post pics of yours, perhaps we can see the difference. Is your mat impeding hatch closure because it doesn't have the inset near the latch?

Anyhow, for anyone looking to purchase off eBay, I just confirmed with Gene, the fellow previously selling black ones for $25, that he's no longer selling at that price. His eBay nick is genov9 and he's now selling black or gray for $53 each plus shipping ($20 to Canada, but I'm guessing US is cheaper). He said interested parties can email him at: [email protected]

He finally wised up to what they are really worth.

I'm glad I got in when they were cheaper.

after-market mat sold as OEM by Markham Infiniti

Edge of mat invariably infringes on rear lock mechanism

"Infiniti badge/sticker", must be a genuine Infiniti parts. SOL

That is most definitely NOT a genuine Infiniti Factory Cargo Mat! It looks nothing like the Infiniti Cargo Mat shown in the topic about the Cargo Organizer.

Please name the dealer so everyone knows to avoid them in the future! Then, send the dealer the link to this topic!

LOL I should this is definately not the feedback a dealership wants.

I hope no one else gets suckered by this dealership, or any other. So be fore-warned everyone in the Toronto/GTA/Markham area; make sure that you ask the dealer to verify the parts number.

Markham Infiniti kept insisting that the cargo mat they sold me is an original Infiniti product. I had to finally email them a picture of the OEM product along with the product code (thanks to dividedhighw post!), to prove that they did not provide me with an original product.

MARKHAM INFINITI (HWY 7 & Kennedy) shame shame

This may well be an Infiniti product, but it's certainly NOT the one for the EX!! Don't give up ... keep insisting they give you the right one, especially since it clearly impedes the closure of the hatch!

Also, it's the WRONG colour!! Again, use the pic I posted to show them what it should look like, and the pic of the sticker that shows the Nissan/Infiniti product number, etc.

Good luck!

no offense, but that mat looks like crap. Even the Infiniti sticker in the middle that attempts to lend legitimacy looks fake.

In all fairness... the OEM Cargo Mat has it's flaws too.

Do I need a diagram that tells me where the Jack is ?

Do I need 2 Holes already pre-cut for something I may or may not buy ?

Do I need a Cargo Mat that has a grain in it that shows marks of a Cardboard Box dragged across it ?

My Mat is like the Majors... but I don't think it's the best one out there... but it's not bad for the price I paid.

I looked at... and found someone on eBay who would make a Cargo Mat that would have some extra Material to roll out over the Seat-backs once they were flopped down.

He was only going to charge me $20.00 more... and I thought THAT would be the perfect Cargo Mat !

picking nits? you may not need to know where the spare jack is, but you wouldn't believe how many other people need that infographic. as far as the grain...can't help ya there.
