Thats the only thing keeping it out of my garage right now.I think the RX has slightly more leg room and my family is tall. I also do not care for the way the *** looks but I think it would grow on me. How is the IPOD connection? I think I need to go drive it again.... I wish it was a little faster too my G has me spoiled...

If there are more than two people in the family, I would think twice about the back seats. They are OK in an emergency or if the front people are under 6 feet. I am the only driver and when you step on the gas your head will snap back. That is fast enough for me. The hard drive is super. So far I have 29 CD's loaded, and room for many more. The NAV system is much better than my Lexus RX and my Mercedes. The voice system is great. My bluetooth phone works better than any other system I have used. The car is a pleasure to drive and own but if you need size look at the Volvo and the Buick enclave. The Buick is a seven passenger car and looks just great. I would have gone to either of these but I did not want a large SUV. Have fun picking out your new car.

Not a vehicle to buy if you need the back seat regularly, which I don't. Lots of front seat room, very comfortable, more than adequate power, terrific electronics, and very quiet on the highway. If you need a "Personal Luxury Crossover" there is nothing like it. If you need a vehicle with "utility" this is not it, and I'm glad Infiniti is not trying to pretend it is anything but what it is.

The car I would be trading is a 2007 Toyota Sequoia Limited. My wife has driven it for a year and a few months and wants something smaller. We have a 3 year old now and she is preggo with #2. She is having trouble driving the Sequoia and getting in and out of the Sequoia so she stole my G and now I'm stuck driving the 8 passenger SUV BOAT! I hate it.... We don't keep our cars longer then 3 years but we do put on high miles so leases don't make sense. I'm watching for a used EX with Nav and have my local Infiniti dealerships watching too. If one comes in I'll probably go buy it. Thanks for all the response! Jeff

WHAT I LIKE- THE FASTEST LITTLE BOMB ON HIGH WHEELS UNLESS YOU BELIEVE EDMUNDS THAT TELL YOU THE X3 IS FASTER ON THE QUARTER MILE.- PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY VEHICULE IN IT'S CLASS - I LIKE TO BE DIFFERENT AND BE THE FIRST. IT'S MY 5TH - 1ST YEAR NEW MODEL PURCHASE- GADGETS GALLOR- SPORTY DRIVE WITH A LITTLE MORE HEAD ROOM AND SEATED STRAIGHT WHAT I DISLIKE- NO RAIN SENSING- A LITTLE TOO MANY LIGHTING COLOURS - IT'S LIKE A CHRSTMAS TREE AT NIGHT- NO ELECTRONIC REAR HATCH ?????- SHORTER THAN G35 - THIGHTER IN THE BACK- CAN'T READ DVD-AUDIO (THE INFINITI M DOES). EVEN WHEN YOU SPEND THE EXTRA $ FOR THE GPS (TECHNOLOGY PACKAGE)- NO ROOM FOR HANKY PANKY IN THE BACK. AND I MEAN NO ROOM- ABOVE ALL - SWINGING BEHAVIOR ON HEAVY TRAFFIC DETERIORATED ROADS. Its a sweet ride and mucho pronto. But since the last post is from a Canadian.. i'd like to be able to have the lights auto-on in the daytime as well as night, instead of having to do this manually. It really is safer to drive with lights on like they do in the GWNorth. If I understood the manual correctly, the configuration in Canada allows this, or do they have running lights? This is a total white whine on my part.

Things I've noticed:If you turn off Lane Departure, it turns back on the next time you start the car. I'm used to seat warmers set to off whenever you restart the car. However, the nature of the switch means it will be in whatever position it was last left. What happens a lot is the evening passenger will turn it on, and it will still be on for the next passenger who usually doesn't want it. I'm probably seated too high but I feel like the rear view mirror seems to block a larger portion of the 1-2 oclock section of my visibility than normal.

The heated seat on the passenger side is not working. Also the left side of the navigation screen does not always work. Other than that I have loved the car, even if someone at the dealer called it a G35 hatchback.

If you'd rather have the Lane Departure warning (beeps) default to OFF when you start the car, here's what you do... With ignition in the ON position, press the Lane Departure warning switch (the one on the lower left side of the dash) so the switch's light is OFF. Once that light is off, press and HOLD the switch until you hear a series of rapid beeps. Release the switch. Now, when you start the car, the default for the Lane Departure warning will be OFF. You will have to manually turn it on each and every time. To return default to ON, repeat the above process. Note: The switch must be in the OFF position (light off) in order to change the default. I drooled for months over this and finally took the day off work on Valentines day so me and my mate could drive over 2 hours to a dealership to test drive and buy one. As soon as I sat in it I passed -- didn't even want to take it for a test drive. Why? Because it was too claustrophobic for me, and when I sat in the passenger seat I knew I wasn't interested. What's with the 'seamed' cockpit area (or whatever you call it) It looks like a couple of butt cracks to me. Sorry. Anyway then I sat in the M35x -- I drove that home instead. But wanting to take the M for a spin took the dealer unaware, so while they gassed the M35x up they told us to go for a spin in the EX35 anyway. Well, what can I say? It was nothing short of WOW! I really liked the all around view, the nav was brilliant and the whole experience with the technology integration was intuitive and made for a fluid and exciting ride. Infiniti has a sweet vehicle with the EX35, it just wasn't for me.
Love my M35x though.

- Rear legroom, though I'm 5'6" so someone fairly tall can fit behind the seat. Still ingress and egress can be a tad awkward. - No rear hatch release inside car - No power rear hatch - No auto-dimming sideview mirrors - Wider tires - Bigger cupholders both front and rear - No Daytime Running Lights (US) - studies have proven on multiple occasions that this feature helps prevent accidents, why Infiniti wouldn't include them is beyond me.In the end though, there is no perfect car. There are always tradeoffs. I looked at a M45x, drove great but in the end, couldn't stand the table-like dash layout and I like having seats that fold down.

After having it for a few days ....Yes, Backseat knee-room could be bigger. But it's just me and my wife, and my relatives are not more than 5'8". So it's OK. Need push button rear latch release from the driver's seat. This 'tall sports wagon' could be like an inch shorter (lower ground clearance), so that the center of gravity is lower. Power folding side-view mirrors. I hate the fact that you have to manually fold the mirror 90 degrees when you are parking. And lastly, the airconditioner does not turn off when you are re-circulating air.

Wishes: - Back seat could have more legroom (but I knew that going in and we don't use it that much) - Fuel filler door on driver side - Radio screens show all available stations on each band (wife's Audi shows this, and is much more convenient when scrolling and trolling for stations) - More than 18 radio presets (18 across all three bands? meager at best) - Add song title and artist on presets screen (how hard would that be?) - iPod would pause when phone call comes in (especially annoying on podcasts and audio books) - Unlock Canadian voice commands for US models - Show PSI readings for tire pressures, like M models have - Proper trip computer, like M models have - Bottle holder in door pocket to take pressure off meager cup holders in console - The cup holder lid didn't stand 1/4" taller than center armrest/console lid when in the open position. Edge digs right into your forearm (Did no one in design drive with their arm resting there??) - Stronger struts on tailgate in cold weatherThat said, it is still a great, great vehicle and I look forward to getting in it every day, which I could not say about my previous Lexus RX after a while. How about some kudos for the following?: - Driving dynamics - best in class (drove the new Audi Q5 a few weeks ago, and while it has some great features, the EX is still a better drive, and even my Audi sales rep who drove the EX said the EX was a blast) - Interior design - aestethically, pretty impressive overall (seats are great, great lateral support) and Chestnut leather stands out from the "black/gray/parchment" crowd - Nav/info screen can be adjusted three ways - touch, voice and buttons - and all three work great. NO other entry-level luxury vehicle brand can touch that - Keyless ignition standard, not an extra-cost option; proximity unlock function works great, especially on tailgate - The way the cargo cover will stay locked and out of the way in a downward-pointing or upward-pointing position when retracted is a small but really cool design feature which shows someone at Infiniti really gets it I could go on and on, but those on this forum know how good it is, otherwise they wouldn't be here as enthusiasts sharing their experiences.

One of the options for the STATUS display should be to automatically rotate through the views....therefore wouldn't have to hit the status button to change the view. You could then stay with a static view (such as Audio top and Fuel Econonmy bottom)...or it would rotate through all the views in a continuous cycle (stay on one view for 10 seconds...then next...etc). Also: one of the STATUS view options should be to have the MAP on the bottom part of the screen.

If you have started a route on your navigation screen then one of the STATUS view options will show you the direction you should be heading and will let you know when you need to turn. I know its no map but i found this out by accident...kinda cool! But I agree we should have more options with the STATUS view.

Thanks RollerEx35...YES, I am fully aware of that view....my points were (a) the sytem should have a "view" that automatically rolls through the various views, Fuel Economy, Next Turn, Climate PLUS (b) add a view with the MAP on bottom.

1) The iPod interface. Awesome and my first experience with one. But I have 15k songs on a 120 GB iPod. I haven't been able to get past "K" when scrolling through the artists yet. If the interface did a "quick scroll" when the multi-function wheel is turned rapidly, that'd be perfect.2) That downloaded contacts from the bluetooth connection are not available unless stopped. Why have the regular programmed contacts available and not the bluetooth downloaded contacts? 3) My dealer may be dead. Which was in an ideal location for me - close to the L and close to work. And they can't order parts right now. Which means a 30-45 minute trip to the burbs for any work that may need to be done. Other than that, it's pretty sweet.

I won't say disappointing, but here's some minor inconvenience: - Still have not found a good place to fit a small box of tissue paper in my car. Oh well, maybe I'll go with those tiny bags of tissues or biodegradable hand sanitizer. - Wish the triangular side/rear window closed to the C-Pillar is bigger. I'm one of those driver who likes to turn my head around when I back my car. But visibility is pretty bad to a point where I'm forced to use the rear and side mirror. It's something I've adjusted. Guess there's airbags back there, that's why.Wishes: - As always mentioned by others, I also wish the hatch/rear door is automatic. For this price range, it should. - I love the fact that the side mirrors are foldable. It's very nice especially when it was parked in a tight 2-car garage. But it's not automatic. Saw a Benz that has automatic, but maybe it's just too much to ask

Mine is a 2008 EX, NAV, Tech, Lux and is Black Obsidian with Grey/Maple interior.Dislikes... 1- Low visibility due to large side mirrors and inside pillar (Safety). I have to tilt my head at times to see what's out there! 2- Left/Right turn signals especially in the rear. Couldn't they just add one to the side mirrors or make the rear ones higher? 3- Of course, the minimal rear leg-room. This fact alone negates the purpose of having a rear other than for cargo! I keep my seats down all the time. 4- Manual hatch back. Why not automate the damn thing? 5- Flimsy windshield washers. 6- Lack of Visor Extenders (how expensive is that??) 7- Low rear visibility when seats are up. I would have liked it to have... 1- Leather Steering Wheel (like the Sport BMW X3 I had) 2- Auto folding side mirrors 3- Mapping of MY commands to functions 4- 6 or even 7 gears. The G35/37 is more stable and rocks! 5- Moooorreeee Visibility! But then again, I do understand how difficult it is to satisfy the world. No car is perfect unless they make it just for me Zan.

I fully agree with RollerEX35 post about the IPod Interface...it's MISERABLE to get through a list of artists or songs or albums if you have more than 50 of any of above.EQUALLY, the MUSIC BOX interface is terrible.....(Hard Drive)....Playing By Artist requires me to roll through every song by every artist to get to an Artist I want to play....all this selection does is sequence the content in alphabetical order by artist. It's miserable to get to Van Halen when I am listening to Evermore (I got to rotate through every song by every artist in between - up or down). I don't understand why the keypad is useless in these searches...why can't I hit "V" and it bounces to the V artist? The wheel is also useless...pretty...but useless....it doesn't speed up the search (jump ahead or anything there like)....it just bounces one at a time (as fast as you can spin, but you can move up and down at same speed).

On the EX by pushing or holding the button by your knee you completely disengage the traction control and water down the Stability control but don't completely turn it off... Thats why on dry pavement with the ex you cannot drift it. If you don't believe me hit the vdc button in an empty parking lot crank lots of steering lock on and boot the throttle in manual 1 ( like you're trying to do donuts) the car will squeal and slide a little but the rear end will not step out and smoke.
