S13 Under Engine Cover/Skid Plate available for KA/SR/Greddy Oil Pan

This post has been pre-approved by Greg. Thanks!!!

Under engine cover/skid plate for S13 is available now. Several people have already installed these with no problems. Here's the detail:

1. Made of 080 thickness and 3003 grade aluminum panel.

2. There are 2 versions. Version 1 is for KA or SR with stock oil pans. Version 2 is for SR with Greddy oil pan. You don't have to remove it when you do oil change.

3. This cover will clear aftermarket sway bars and fit perfect on stock tension rod bracket or Nismo Power brace.

4. No drilling required. You will use existing holes under the car. One hole(threaded) on the lower radiator support, two holes(threaded) on the tension trackets and two holes(not threaded) on cross member right below steering rack.

5. Installation hardwares are NOT included. You will need five 10mm bolts and two nuts to install this. Spacers are optional. All can be purchsed from local hadware stores.

6. It's not going to be super clean and shiny due to machine work. Some scratches can be found.

7. Price is $90 shipped for Version 1 and $100 shipped for Version 2. I have limited quantity of Version 2 panels. I usually ship it following business day and email tracking number right after. Insurance is included in shipping.

8. I take Paypal. Please send payment to jane62796@yahoo.com Please email me if you want to pay with check or money order, so we can arrange it.

Here's some pictures.

Version 1 panel KA/SR with stock oil pan

Version 2 panel SR with Greddy oil pan

Recommended hardwares

Smashed KA oil pan
I can't guarantee that this won't happen if you have this under engine cover/skid plate, but it can minimize the damage.

Please read Fabricators' Market Rules before say anything negative.

Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking!

These look very well made. I like the fact that it slopes and extends all the way to below the radiator and not just below the oil pan. My question is how messy does it become when changing the oil? It seems kinda hard to get to the drain plug. A pic directly below the drain plug (KA w/ stock oil pan to be more specific) would really help me make a certain decision on a purchase. Thx.

Nacho,
It looks like you know about similar skid plates from other companies. Yes, this one stretches all the way from radiator support to steering rack. Oil shouldn't touch the panel when you drain the oil. Drain hole is good for both KA and SR. I took extra time to come up with good size and location of the drain hole. This pictures is my car w/KA and I have aftermarket drain plug, but still it'll give you an idea where the plugs are going to be. You will NOT have any problem using your wrench and draining the oil, and it's not going to be messy at all.

I have one of those plates from way back when they first came out, they are great, cept I'm modding mine so that it doesn't get in the way of the engine crossmember for jacking up the car - it's doesn't "really get in the way", but I don't like it being there where I can't line up the crossmember w/ the jack easily, haha.

I think you can cut the rear and just use 3 bolts to install, one front and two on tension rod brackets.

Sorry. I have no idea. I didn't have an access to s13 with CA when I developed it. I wonder if you have a friend with KA and compare the locations of oil drain plug.

***** Tomei Oil Pan Owners *****
Tomei oil pan looks similar to GReddy oil pan and someone who has Tomei oil pan on his SR bought Version II like 2 days ago. He will get back with me with some installed pictures as soon as he receives it.

Wait... If you stick some cardboard between the panel and cross member, you should be able to jack it up the cross member with no problem. Just think about it before you cut it. It's not going to hurt to have extra coverage under the cross member. I think you can put that piece of card board when you install the panel, and just leave it there.

currently i have a stock sr oilpan and later want to go greddy so if i buy version 2 now can i still do oil changes just as easily?

No it'll be way off. GReddy oil pan drain hole is far out and SR is right below the engine. KA drain plug is in between SR and GReddy drain plugs. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

I have considered making one of these myself, but as I have no access to a bending brake/laithe, I doubt I would make something as thorough as what you have here.
Expect to here from me later this week for a version 1 plate.
Don't be charging me state taxes either dammit!

reccakun08, sorry for the delay. I'll try to post pics tonight.

gumby, no state tax, so don't worry. Here's better news.

I'll knock off $10, so $80 shipped for the version 1 and $90 shipped for the version 2. I only have like 6 or 7 version 2 left, so order while you can.

Version 2 for GReddy oil pan

Version 1 on top of Version 2. Holes are not even close since GReddy oil pan stretches toward outside and front.

Steel might give you more problem because it'll rust. This is aluminum, but it's still pretty thick and sturdy. I haven't received any complains regarding thickness or fitment. If you don't like it after you receive it, please return it. I'll give you a refund(minus shipping) right away.
