You inked out the dealership name on your license plate cover?Versa Madness wrote:Can you spot my other mod that I did today also????
That is true, but not what I am referring to. The middle front on shot shows the mod the best of the three, but I may need a close up.Great White Versa wrote:

what part of oregon was she in?Versa Madness wrote:I won't be able to install the deflector for a while. I bought the Versa for my wife and she is currently working in a remote part of Oregon 400 miles away. Perhaps in a month or so she will be back in town and I can install it then. I will update with pics at that time.
Fields, Oregon. 110 miles south of Burns and about 20 miles north of the Nevada Border.blind_snyper wrote:

It is still offered in Canada as a factory authorize accessory as can be seen here: http://www.nissan.ca/vehicles/....htmlCARI0CA wrote:When I purchased my '08 SL hatch last Aug, the dealer's parts dept told me that they quit selling (a service bulletin is the term they used) due to the fact a good # of the hood deflectors blew off @ speed. So I didn't purchase @ that time .
It is very easy to do for the grill. I use the aluminum gutter mesh from Home Depot. This is the rigid 3 foot sections that are about 4+" wide. I have used it on other vehicles with good results.reyes1212 wrote:Make a tut on the steps taken etc. for the mesh!lol
This is all the info that I have on the deflector. You could try calling Bruce in Parts at Beaverton Nissan at 503-643-8676 to find out how he was able to get one for me.Versa Madness wrote:My parts guy at Beaverton Nissan was able to get me the same hood deflector that is offered for the Versa to the folks in Canada by Nissan. It is manufactured by Focus Auto Design in Canada...
I never heard back from Bruce at Beaverton Nissan, and no response to my email follow up either. I just called and left another message.randyshemin@comcast. wrote:I just spoke with Bruce. He said he could get them via special order, and it took about two weeks. He ordered one for me.
The stone chips are mounting up in only 2 1/2 months.
UPDATE:I spoke with Bruce at Beaverton Nissan who just called me back...he explained that this particular part comes directly from Nissan's vendor, NOT from Nissan Canada itself, and that it often takes several weeks to get them in his inventory at the dealership. He said it should be delivered to him and then shipped to me within another week or so.randyshemin@comcast. wrote:

I guess it won't be happening.
