Wow thanks for posting those pics up. The G37's styling has certainly grown on me, but I prefer the G35 styling more. I don't really care for that color (assuming it's liquid platinum), diamond graphite looks a lot better imo. The rear of it is probably the biggest eyesore for me. Other than that it looks pretty good. I am puzzled as to why Infiniti would change up the styling when it already sells well, but I guess it's to compliment the G sedan's styling? Overall, a fairly nice car. Looks good in some angles, in others it doesn't. I'd love to test one out.

I wonder what an M coupe would look like...

These pictures are from the test drive thing I told you all about at Texas Motor Speedway that I participated in.

The one where you test drive a bunch of cars and give your opinion and they pay you $150. This is the actual silver G37 that I test drove and told you all about.

G Whizz.....where did you get these pictures???? I should have taken them myself but didn't take a camera with me that day.

Interesting........

Muwahahaha...lol...just kinda perused around and found them..so when I find something ...I ALWAYS share That's what makes NICO such a great community! I encourage ALL of you to do the same. If any of you EVER have any ideas, comments, rumour, pics, info...etc. Please let us all know or bring it to my attention. That's the only way we can make this place even better then it is. You guys are the ones that make this place a success!

Also, be sure (although it's kinda still in the works) to check into the G37 link in my sig. for the most updated information on the new G. It will be updated as new info comes in!

Have a great day!

it really doesn't look that much differnent...there are a few things like 330 hp but other than that just the headlights and rear area look alittle different and of course the interior looks just like the 07 4doors.

Personally I think the new design will out date itself sooner than the previous styling. The 03-07 style is what I call 'timeless' and will become a classic!

****J-owner - email me the next time they're doing that!!!!

GREAT SIDE BY SIDE PICS!!!! PERFECT COMPARISON!!!!

although the current car's body style is a classic (DUH) they have to try and improve on it. the new BMWs make me sick BUT they can't keep producing the same car forever.

the lights are "smoothed out" and less jaged. before anyone starts yelling at me, i'm not saying that i don't love the current style.

it's VERY hard to improve upon perfection but unless anybody can do better.... than i say embrace it and respect it's refreshing new look!

UNLESS THEY MAKE A DAMNED ALTIMA THAT LOOKS LIKE IT!!!!

G35 all the way, its timeless and will never look 'old'. I'm most definately one for progression, but I think they've gone the wrong way with the rear and front. If only we could get the exterior of the G35, with the engine and interior of the G37. Now that would be one sweet car.

If only the G37 could have looked more like the concept car.

Chad,

It is a company called Synovate that put on the car survey. It was a good time and I got to be one of the first to drive the G37 and I got paid for it too. Can't beat that.

If I get anymore information in the mail for a future one I will post it on here for the Dallas people to sign up on. Well worth four hours of my day just for the fun of it.

Oh.....the Exterior of the G37 is growing on me and I like it but I second the "if we could have the exterior of the G35 and the interior of the G37". Now that would be SUPER SWEET!!!

Nope! And, you are not likely to see a link here to anything else (see below).

P.S. Please see this from the FAQ (link above the forum threads):

1) Linking to a forum that competes with NICO. While this may seem silly, NICO exists due to the enormous flow of traffic that enters the site. Without this, the resource would cease to exist.

Nice pics Sean...

I have to agree with the consensus though... and I may be biased, but I prefer the older style over the new one.

On a similar note, isn't there a re-design for the 350z due out right about now?

I just noticed the new hood design....I'm not sure why they disrupted the clean lines with a gap for the hood. Does the front end seem pointy??

With simple bolt on's the G35 could easily outperform the G37. The car has been out for 4 years, so the aftermarket base is quite large...the G37 has some catching up to do.

I'd rather put the extra money from buying a new car into a boost application...than blow the doors off the G37.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn down a G37 if given to me

i am very glad i bought the g35. not that the g37 is ugly but that i think the 35 has a better stance. i would love to be next to one to see the difference the 37 makes in hp. then it would motivate me to make my intake, do an exhaust and get the mod bug i thought i could leave to my race cars and not my daily driver!

I rather doubt you'll be able to make up the HP difference that easily. With an estimated 330 SAE HP compared to the 280-298 BHP, it's got a bit more ground to make up than 32-50 HP due to the new HP standards.

Even then, peak HP is only an indication of power, but the New 3.7 Liter version will be sporting infinitely variable valve timing and lift. While actual results are still to be seen, one of the advantages of this technology is the possibility of a very flat torque curve. At the very least, I hope they can pull out a much flatter torque curve then we might be used to seeing. If this occurs, we may get a bit more area under the curve resulting in more of an advantage to the G37 than the peak HP numbers might suggest. We'll have to wait and see, but I certainly wouldn't make such an assumption just yet.

owning a 03 for 4 years, I was sooo looking forward to buying the G37 after seeing the concept car. Not now after seeing the photos...front is rounded like a lexus sc and can't stand the spoiler. The engine is greatly improved and so is the interior, but the body style just doesn't do it for me. What's with the hood "line" above the grill? I'm hoping seeing it in person will change my mind, but looks like I'll keep my G35.

I definitely have to say that the G35 looks a lot better. But, I use to think the G35/350z was ugly *** h***. But it's DEFINITELY grown on me, so I'm sure the G37 will too when I see it in person.

The G37's front fascia looks sort of like a grand prix.

Proformance difference between the two is not much, down from 5.5 0-60 to 5.2 0-60 is not a HUGE leap by any means.

I'll save the $40k now keep my G35 and wait 6-8 years to pick one of these up.

The 37's front is more agressive than the G35. It looks more prone to scaring children and eating small animals.

I'd take a Wide-bodied G35 with twin turbo's, though I wouldn't refuse a G37 with the same mods...

I think the G37 is more aggressive looking, has better lines, better aero features. Plus this is only the base model. In the Journey and Manual sport addition you are going to have a more detailed front bumper, bigger wheels, bigger rotors. This car is already setup to be fast and the tuner parts that will be out for it are probably going to be just as intense as the G35 currently has. I love the G35's styling but I bet when you see the G37 in person your attitudes will change.
