To the OP,welcome to NICO. All I can say is research as much as you can. Use this site to gather info, plan things out, look at other cars to draw inspiration from, etc. etc. If you search for something and can't find it...then post a thread about it.
It doesn't hurt to have big dreams for your car, but you gotta put in work if you want that dream to come true. Save up and make sure you've got the money to do what you want to do. Make sure you are organized and keep track of how much you spend because if you don't...things get messy.
Aside from researching, I would recommend you drive your car as often as you can. (yes I know you're in the military so when you get the chance) Enjoy it in its stock form and get to know it better. Get a feel for its handling and such.
Once you get everything planned out and you feel ready to work on your car...my suggestion is to start like this:
1) performance mods2) interior mods3) exterior mods
Work on the inside first and gradually make your way outside.
