I feel bad for the Honda owner. That looked like a nice new Civic.

I feel sorry for what happened to the Porsche owner...but it was stupidity on her part.

I feel more sorry for the Honda owner...must've been very traumatizing to go through some $hit like that.

wow. just wow. R.I.P. porsche girl.

Im a porsche tech by trade. and im amazed by the fact that the transmission was completely ripped off the engine. also the car being a cabriolet dosent help. maybe she would still have her head if it was a coupe and the side impact airbags deployed but doubtfull.

Continuing to prove there are lots of people with more money than brains. But I bet they won't begin stopping every porsche they see, but if it was a girl in a 240...

*EDIT* *Disclaimer* That WAS NOT intended as a joke about the last few pictures. I re-read this and realised how it sounded.

I remember seeing a show on the History Channel about the Autobahn and how german cars are designed to be safe from crashes even at such high speeds. They showed footage of I think another 911 go careening of the side of the road at 150+ mph and tumble a couple times and just flail about like nothing ive ever seen. The 2 dudes in it got out and walked away.

Also wasnt a cabriolet and they were the only car involved. porsches are very sturdy cars. until you broadside a solid object.

this is a very sad matter and it breaks my heart to see this happen. I mean its a sad state of affairs and I think I am more sad and heartbroken to think if this happened to one of my loved ones which scares the shat out of me I just wish our society was able to make smart decisons. I hate the way kids (and some adults) have the atitude that "oh that could never happen to me" even though they are told countless times that our actions have consequences and some very serve like this. I really feel basic driver education should included the same criteria as racing schools. I have always study racing on my free time and I was disgusted with the fact that Drivers ed only teaches you to operate the vehicle, not how to control it. I remember the only thing they touched based on was oversteering and the fact you have to countersteer, well duh, why not tell kids what causes this and such. its a issue that has pondered me for some time

my condolences with the family; this is another sad example among many that life can end so quick, people really should think twice before everything before the commit or they can suffer the greatest consequence of all times; death

fyi, that is extremely graphic and I suggest people try to look at the pics so the image will burn in your head next time you think about drinking and driving, speeding or anything for that matter. I still feel very sick to my stomach :paceing

That is a horrible thing to happen to anyone. But I agree with teaching at least the basics of car control, really it's silly not to.

However, this does beg the question from me of how pictures like that end up on the internet.

it really does bug me, I mean we are giving kids 3500 lb killing machines, I am suprised they don't teach basic car control techniques, its really a shame, when I have kids I plan to teach them basics of car control and common sense, in hopes to prevent crap like this

Either onlookers, or First Responders with no morals. It's against so many ethical, moral, and legal principles to distribute this kind of material it's not even funny.

Yea I remember hearing in the news a while back about someone posting up pictures of some Navy SEALS on their website (I think it was one of those blogging sites)...they had to quit as a result of their faces not being blurred and being exposed like that.
