That sweet looking vert has to belong 110octane.

Exterior is sexy but interior can use a little bit more work from the pics I saw.

Hmmm.... It looks awfully familiar. IIRC, this car belongs to one of vert members. He used to have 18' Enkeis, but looks like he swapped them out for the show. I'm pretty positive that it's his vert because I remember him saying about his sponsors, SEMA and stuff. I can recognize front end, spoiler, wide fenders and tail lights...etc. Maybe he will drop by here sooner or later. That's one sweet vert.

I was thinking it was 110octane's ride because when I saw that kouki front end I remembered his ride. Could be someone else's though.

Bingo!!! 110octane. That's him. I'm pretty sure this is his vert. S14 front usually looks weird on S13 because of wide fenders, but this one looks good because of rear wide fenders. It's well balanced.

From what I remember, this is what his ride last looked like. Now that I compare the two...they do share striking similarities...I'm really starting to think that's his ride!

It's his car. I like Enkeis better than those chromes.

Yea the chrome wheels are nice and all...but I preferred the Enkeis also...unless he changed them just for the show.

Ehh, i'd never want to gussy up a car like that....I'd always feel uneasy driving it...and driving my 240 is the best part about having it!

I spent quite a bit of time checking it out in person.

It's pretty impressive, and looks to be almost completed.

Certainly has some stuff I'm not too fond of (riveted-on widebody, hood doesn't fit, "jdm" stuff like chrome cupholders, mad camber and insane stretch, looong exhaust tips).

I got some good ideas for my vert after looking at it, though.

Yep. You guys nailed it. That is my car.

I am glad all of you that saw it enjoyed it. I was very nervous that surrounded by Ferrari's and Lexus' my car would not get any love. Boy was I happilly surprised! It seemed people were more interested in the vert than most of the cars in Falkens booth. Amazing!

I was bummed because I couldnt leave the hood up to show off the completed VQ35 install. We have been working very diligently over the past few weeks to get it done by the show but Falken Tire's booth theme was about clean auto luxury and hoods popped was not an option. I will try to post an engine bay shot once I return from Vegas.

AZHitman; I was at the Falken booth all week. I wish I could have meet you in person. To clear things up, the hood does fit. The back is raised for two reasons. 1.) The VQ engine is very tall in the rear by the fire wall. I clearanced the hood structure to aleviate this problem. 2.) The rear of the hood is raised because of the inherent temerature problems of the VQ engine. Cold air in, Hot air out! We learned a lot about the VQ during the build of the Falken Tire G35 drift machine. As far as you not being fond of the other stuff....to each his own I guess?! I am flattered that you took the time to pick the car apart that much.

topless94: What part of the interior looked incomplete to you? Just curious so that I can address it.

Don't worry guys....I still have the Enkei's.

Stay tuned...the car still isn't done. Simply ran out of time before the show!

Well the first thing that caught my eye was the cupholders, so I figured that you were going for a VIP look on the interior. Well I looked around, and I saw that was about it, every else had that racing-type feel to it. I thought maybe it could have used some brushed aluminum pieces and leather seats but taking a real good look at it now, it doesn't look that bad actually. Maybe you're combining the whole VIP style and racing style together? I could be mistaken. BTW, did you cover your dash with suede or something?

Also just wondering, are you done with the interior?

Youre right "94". I was trying to keep the sporty feel and mix in the VIP flavor. That was the premise of the Falken Tire "auto luxury" movement. Hence the race inspired bracing in the rear and aluminum panels wrapped in suede. I was trying to make two worlds collide. According to the people who I talked to at the show it went over very well.

The whole interior is done in suede.

Again, thanks for the feedback. I care how the vert community views this project.

keep an eye out for it in the magazines soon!

The car will be getting shot for Max Power UK on Monday (11/6) and then Modified magaziine in the near future once some additions are made to the engine and some small tweaks are finished.

Again, thank you all for your feedback.

By the way....did anyone see the crazy blue vert that was built or that TV show and was supposed to be at SEMA? The one that was sold and then wasn't and so on. I couldn't find it anywhere?

110 - I actually asked about you, but I think you were busy... One of the Falken guys went looking for you.

Props for all the hard work - I wanted to ask, what wing is that on the car?

I also saw the car in person and tryed to talk to you, the owner, but the Falken crew said you were nowhere to be found. AWESOME car, the Falken booth was by far the best of show. I love the all black theme...

Anyway, this vert put 110octane in celebrity status now.

topless94: Thats the one! I looked everywhere for it to see the details iin person. I don't think it was present at the show?

AZhitman: Thanks for the props. The wing is from SuperMade. It is the instant Gentleman type.

Sorry to those of you who came by the Falken Tire booth and I wasn't present, I was very busy with meetings and such. I promise I was at the show from open to close everyday. What a long week! I really wish I could have met some of you in person. Oh well, next time.

94_240sx: Yea...actually it's "Osaka Style" that i like and the car is emulating. We at Falken tire don't much care for the word Yokohama. Hahahaha

TIMELSS_vert: In my opinion Super Made has the nicest style. Very subdued and classy. Currently I am also building an S14 with my girlfriend. It will have the full Instant Gentleman kit...if it ever arrives? The reason the vert doesn't have it was because at the time I needed it Super Made was not interested in sending the kit over to the US. As of now this is still a problem. I have been waiting over 2 months for the S14 kit because they are afraid once it hits US shores that someone will replicate it. Apparently they don't trust westerners! I am running an exhaust that was hand made to look like the SuperMade exhaust. It has twin tips, but instead of going straight out the back I had a slight angle put on them. Sort of a half Bosozoku half N1 type. Again, mixing VIP and Race styles.

The luxury drift style is growing very popular in Japan. The trend is being led by shops such as 326 Power, Westco (Origin Labs), SuperMade. In fact, at the Osaka Auto Messe this year there were quite a few examples of "Lugdori" as they call it in Japan. Half Luxury, half drift. I see this becoming a large trend here on the west coast in the very near future.

The MaxPower UK shoot went awesome today. I will share some of the photos once I recieve them.

Thanks for the love fellas!

Good info, 110.

I was actually saying, once I saw the car, "Damn - why doesn't he just PICK a STYLE and roll with it?!?!"

Now that you've explained it, I can appreciate it even more.

Now I've just gotta make sure no one mistakes mine for yours, and vice versa!
