Ok well I've seen some very very dirty micro filters in some cars and even some with rats nests so I thought I would do a write up to help everyone out ... all you need is a phillips head screw driver.

1. Remove plastic trim piece on floor right inside the passenger door (it's right beside the door sill) just slide your fingers a little under it and pull up ... it's just clipped on.

2. Look under the glove box and you will see a black trim piece that covers the bottom of the glove box ... stick your fingers in the front of it and pull down ... this is also clipped on and will come off really easy.

3. On the very back of the passenger kick panel there is a little black plastic bolt that screws off from the kick panel ... unscrew it. Remove the kick panel ... some times it's hard to do without breaking the clips ... I usually just slide 2 fingers under it and yank out really fast ... some times the clips break.

4. Look on very bottom of glove box and the right and left side there are 2 screws ... remove these screws.

5. Open the glove box and remove all four screws on the top of the inside and sit all the screws together somewhere.

6. Pull down on the glove box and it will fall down ...

7. There will be wires hanging but I do all this without disconnecting wires or harnesses. Right above the blower there is a little white rectangle panel that you can pull off ... there might be a little harness in the way ... just push it up out of the way. There is a little raised up piece you can pull on the white panel ... pull it off. Boom there is your micro filter ... wiggle it out around the wires ... you may have to bend the filter.

For installation reverse the removal steps. You may have to bend the new filter around the wires which won't hurt it because it's so flexible ...

I'm just tryin to save everyone some money Sorry, I don't have pics. I did the best I could explaining it step by step ...

Just replaced mine tonight...took about 25 minutes. That included about 5 minutes hunting down the screw that fell under the carpet, (dumb move on my part), and about 5 minutes trying to get the glovebox to pop loose without breaking something! Thanks for the instructions!

On the full stacked HEPA filter on the FY33, I do it annually along with the engine air filter.

Sounds like the FY33 filter is quite a bit larger.

Good write up, infinititech1.

Thanks for the how to. I changed mine this weekend and it took at most 15 minutes. I don't think the filter had ever been changed based on the funktatude of the outgoing filter.

Next up...JWT Popcharger, Z tube, 5/16 plenum spacer and borla exhaust, bumper lower grill inserts. Hopefully all the parts will be in by this weekend so I can get started.

Infiniti Tech. Thank you for the instructions. I replaced mine today with 25422 mi on my 2006 G35 sedan 6sp manual. It took about a half hour including the pictures that I took. i hope I don't screw up trying to copy the pictures. The first dealer that I went to for the cabin filter refused to honor my Infiniti discount card (Ray Catena) so I went to Circle Infiniti where they not only gave me my discount ($29.45 for the filter) but saved me over $3000.00 on my purchase of the G35. Go Circle Infiniti!. The factory Cabin Filter also comes with instructions. The only tool needed is a #2 Phillips screwdriver. I'd be curious to know what the dealers are charging for this simple Cabin Filter replacement?

Although i just changed mine and took pictures, so far I've had difficulty trying to post them and i need assistance on exactly what I need to do to post them? However, as far as changing the micro filter, print out Infinititech's excellent instructions so you'll have them in front of you.

Item 3

If you pull up the carpeting on the passenger side, you'll see the two plastic nuts that you will remove by hand.

item 7

If you bring the passinger seat up closer to the glove box it will make it easier to rest the glove box after removing the screws. Looking above the round blower plastic housing you will see the rectangular piece that pops off exposing the micro filter. Before removing it, note the position of the writing on it and orient the new filter the same. Remove the old one & insert the new one.The filter that I purchased at the Infiniti dealer came with instructions including pictures. The whole job took me a half hour including taking pictures. After the next 25k miles it'll probably take me 15 min. The only tool needed is a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Very easy to do. Thanks again to Infinititech for his instructions. I hope this helps you.
