So I have some weird crap going on. After driving my car for about 10 minutes after its warm, it will get possesed. It will boost fine, per my electronic boost controller, tapped at my manifold, but I will have absolutely NO power and it will run SUUUPPPEERRR rich.I mean, NO power, barely enough to move. It will sputter, kick, buck, etc. Ive found that turning my key off and resetting the ECU will fix it sometimes, and lately I figured out that I can turn it off, unplug the MAFS, start it up, and plug the MAFS back in to fix it.

What do yall think? MAFS is relatively new, worked fine since I got it in May. Could be dirty I guess. ALso, I just redid all my MAFS wiring with new shielded wire and verified I had all good connections and what not.

Any ideas?

engine coolant temp sensor is bad, usualy wont throw a code but that sounds like the symptoms.same thing happened to me, couldnt rev past 4k and it ran stupid rich after it warmed up.

So I replace the bigger, two-wire sensor by the intake manifold? What is a direct replacement, any idea?

Thanks for the info you guys.

if your rb20 has a blank timing cover than one from a late model z32 should fit, if it has rb20 embossed on it then one from an early z32.worst case scenario take a look at the plug and post up or tell the parts guy at nissan to pull both, they are stocked items.

I got another RB20 temp sensor and tried it, no change. I checked for cdes after and it wasnt throwing crap.

After that I put the ECU in diagnostoc A/F ratio mode and it showed green the whole time, under boost, idle, letting off the throttle, etc. SOmehting is making my car see too much fuel and Im 99% sure its the FPR.

could be alot of things, a bad CAS could cause it to have no power at all. Did you check for any boost leaks?
