Finally got the time to get these things on...

Paint was fine after rolling on driver's side... looks like bondo was present on the pass side (large, thick paint flakes)... I'm going to mask off the fender (better than in the pic... just did a quick couple of layers of primer) and paint all of the flares with a matte black to hold me over to whenever I decide to paint the car (low priority).

I'll be installing the fronts tonight... the rears are waiting on 5 lug rotors since stoptech sent 4 lug by mistake.

Parts list:Stoptech "big brake kit" w/ SS Rear LinesAxxis Ultimate pads (F&R)Attain conversion hubs front - Nissan 5 lug hubs rearBronze CE28N 17x9 +15 F 17x9.5 RBlue FN01R 17x10 +12 R (guest appearance from the blue Formula D car beside mine... moved to NYC so this season is on hold... finishing the car for a friend)

Thanks to my friend Rob who works next door at Bosch for loaning me the fender roller... I sure needed it!

Brakes are waiting for front hubs... I was told on this forum that S14 SE fronts can have S13 bearings pressed in... this is not the case as the OD is bigger than the 14 bearing I found out when the everything came in... oh well.

Attain hubs will be here Wed... and I will pick up the rotors for the back tomorrow (since stoptech sent the wrong ones)

...and the wheels are waiting on the brakes... that cracked paint on the pass fender is looking a lot better though... can't just waste time waiting on parts

It's the 5 lug Big Brake front kit (std 5 lug rear with lines on all 4 corners... axxis ultimate pads for the road... not sure what I'll run on the track yet)... they don't have one for all corners to my knowledge.

I've built the car for road racing... but I'll probably drift it every now and again. I'm thinking of running NASA with it b/c SCCA doesn't really have a class I fit in that would be fun. I was going to get my novice road racing license with it this year for our two race team T2 Z's at work, but I've been to busy with work... so hopefully early next year (maybe late this year). At least you don't need a license for open track days!

Here's more on the car...zerothread?id=169341

they dont make a 4 wheel kit for the 240, but they make several variations of them for the z32

glad to hear youre taking it road racing....my hatch will be built for time attack, so basically the same thing

i hope to build a wheel to wheel car down the line at some point

now you just need that restructuring of SE-R cup to happen so you dont have to run some other poorly populated class, since youve got the RB in there

hope to see you at watkins glen next summer, i also hope to be heading out your way for a few events

Both sides did... I'll fix those when I paint the car down the road

Quick teaser (quick phone pics)... front hubs delayed one day... tracking says tomorrow. I'll be done this weekend... given nothing breaks...

I need RUCA's and RLCA's... and I need bigger tires... can't complain about these though... they were free (245/40/17)

hey im following all your threads, great builds.

I am also actually doing what you're doing with my car, I've made up my mind to go with the rb20 as well.

My engine just died (KA auto that i have been pushing crazy, yes I drove it in 2 instead of drive at times hehe). The engine starter went out.. then wintery cold weather came and problems arose and then headgasket/rings being gone made the oil and coolant being eaten fast happen. Soo.. the engine seized on top of the engine starter going (had to keep hammering it lol).

Right now the car is parked for the winter anyways... but after the winter.. I will put in the RB20 as well.

I am also only intersted in road racing and time attack. Drifting is overrated, and time attack is making its scene entrance in north america.

Heh, finally in north america things are shifting from nascar and drag racing to drifting and now finally more broader road racing/time attack circuit racing Auto-x is no fun compared to circuit racing time attacks..

Keep your threads alive I love reading your builds

That's more than just a roll. That is a roll AND a pull. Pretty serious pull too.

Thanks! I had started a new thread for the finished install... enjoy

zerothread?id=191649

As for the roll and "fender reshaping" we'll call it... yeah it's clean as long as there is no bondo underneath... the driver side rolled and pulled without cracking but the pass side cracked due to some filler that was on there that I didn't know about... I've taken all of the filler out and fixed it for now with a quick paint job to hold me until I do the whole thing (silvia aero facia at the house and waiting for the engine development to be done)... expect the upper part of the fender near the quarter glass to dent in if you pull this much... I'll be fixing that here soon... not to bad though
