I recently adjusted my ignition timing after doing a timing chain job.. and passed emissions afterward with flying colors

Anyway, I just want to make sure I did the timing correctly..

First, where is your head supposed to be when you're looking at the pulley/pin? I figured that a person's perspective would have a big impact on the readings he gets. I stood as low as I could with the timing gun near the left fender so that I could still see the pin/pulley. Was this correct?

Also, is the tps the little sensor on the right side of the throttle body? I unhooked the little connector that came from it. It was tied to the valve cover pressure relief line. Was this the correct plug to unhook?

This is on a 93 240sx.

Thanks.

it sounds like you were looking from the right place.

yes, that is the tps. i dont remember which plug to unplug(if yours even has more than one, not all do) but if you dont unplug the correct one the timing will be jumping around and be very hard to set. then it will not be set correctly anyway.
