I stole this question from Heliochrome85 in the other thread.

So, what did you trade in to get your G?

And, what other cars have you owned???

How does your G rate in comparison?

I'll post my list later, got to find me a beer!

OH, and my daughter got a scholarship which will pay HALF of her college education!!!!

Prior to my G - I had a 1994 Toyota pickup that I totalled in February lol

So its a bit of an upgrade - probably couldn't have gotten a better car. Love this thing more than i love the ladies.... maybe...

P.S - Grats on your daughters scholorship!

Zozo,

You like that Saab? My buddy is considering getting one, but I've never been in a Saab and don't know how they feel really. Any tips?

Hey I bought a Grand Prix to drive to work in, paid $2000 and got 70,000 miles on it in 2 years. Ended bad at 150,000 cracked head gasket. I miss that car. I drive a Envoy everyday and the G once in a while...every chance I get.

Before the G I had a 96 Monte Carlo and before that I had a slightly lifted 93 Explorer that I liked to take mudding. Those manual-locking hubs for 4x4 were great, wish they still made em that way.

1 previous car96 Infiniti I30

As long as Nissan builds reliable, quality cars, I'll be a customer. I'd also hope for some better designs in the future (ie less weight).

BTW. Why is it that low weight and cheap/noisy seem to go hand in hand?

Why can't I have a lightweight car that doesn't squeak around turns and while braking? You can't tell me the insulation accounts for that much weight and an alternative isn't available.

Back to the OT. I like the styling of the G35 better and the power is great, but my I30 had more ammenities than my base model G. I also miss the extra doors some times.

Can somebody go check the Engine, Drivetrain, tuning and answer the question regarding a coupe mid-pipe on an 08 sedan?

It was a great car. Had lots of goodies in it. It had some uniqueness in it. Cooler type of glove compartment, ventilated seat, etc. It had good powers too(not as good as the G). Only problem I had with it the throttle body needed to be replaced.

I did not go with the Saab because after 1999 GM took over the Saab and slowly got cheaper materials. The new Saabs are just like another GM car. 03's were still good but after that ..went sh_t.

1995 Lexus LS400 bought off lease in 1998. Traded it for my buddies collection of model trains and $1500 cash - after selling the collection I grossed about 11,500. Car had been in a couple of accidents - nothing major - but it needed some repair work so I think I came out ahead.

My winter car is a Dodge Ram that i bought in 2002 when they came out with the new body style - so I had to go for the factory 20" rims.

First car was a 1981 Oldsmobile delta 88 4 door aptly dubbed "the boat"

My second car was an 1988 Trans AM GTA... man did I ever love that car. I thought I was king sh_t of the turd pile in that thing LOL. It got me through high school and then shortly after I spun a rod bearing and had to let her go.

After that I got a 99 Dodge Dakota with the 3.9. Wasnt too bad for a lil truck. It got me an my four wheelers to a lot of different places in the country but soon enough it had nearly 130K on it and things were starting to go wrong with it so I traded her in for the G.

The G is hands down the nicest car I've ever owned. I miss both of my old vehicles.... but not enough to give the g up for either of em
