it's an easy mod to do.

I just didn't wan't to install the VIP puddle lights and not be happy with them, I even went to another forum looking for help on the VIP puddle lights installed on the aero skirts (not many around) and another member had dual strips (2 strip on each side) that he was installing on his M too.

I'm verry happy how it came out, nice and bright with everything even.

Now I'm looking forward to park in very dark places :rotflmao
Is that the longest they come in? I want something that fades in and out just around the wheels but is otherwise long enough for the whole side skirt.

You could find them in many sizes & colors, you can even find them as long as 5m long and trim it to the size you need.

I wanted to use them as a courtesy light so I installed it in the middle. I didn't want to do the whole skirt.

I have it like this:

|<-----21.75" space----->|<-------39" strip------->|<-----21.75" space----->|

I think the size of the skirt is about 82"

Finally replaced the festoon bulbs in the vanity mirrors with LEDs from ebay seller, wx_led--the bulbs are 23mm and an impossible size to find, after looking on the web for a while...the yellow lights had been bugging me ever since I changed all the rest of the interior lights to LEDs.

Any pictures and instructions/help on how to get in there? Or is it straightforward? I've always wanted to change them but never have looked into it with any detail.

Very straightforward:
1. Remove white plastic cover piece over light
2. You will then see festoon bulb--pry it out with something plastic--do it fairly quick because the bulb can get quite hot pretty fast
3. The LEDs are polarized, so if it doesn't work when you put them in, flip 'em around
4. Replace plastic cover

if i have time tomorrow i can post a diy that Ilya can sticky

I honestly did not think my car's paint could have gotten any glossier/shiner... but it did... 10 fold. My garage does not do the gloss any justice... I'll try to get some new shots later.

Beading is nice and tight with the Swissvax. My car is now EXTREMELY hydrophobic... water just flies off when I drive.

Swissvax is White Wolf approved :bigthumb:
LOL this s*** is $195. I think I'll stick with zaino.

I was able to install a set of temp splitters on the oem aero lip:

I didn't want to go crazy so the part of the splitter that sticks out the most is only 7/8" at the end of the fender next to the tire.

Looks so much better in-person, hard to get good pics.

And yes it's only for looks.
I was able to finish the rear splitters today, now they match the front:

LEDs all around, (fast blinking turn signal is annoying me already and its only been a day) and RC2 Intake, very nice product, very easy to install and a noticeable difference in performance over my stock dirty filter/box setup

Here's a link to the DIY... some of my buddies have done this... I've thinking of doing it, but my start button still looks in good condition...

it sounds good for only having the ski-pass to breath, I'm sure this would be super loud & hit even harder in a truck or hatchback.

I took my M45 Sport back to the dealer to see about replacing my front heel hub bearings. I had suspected them of being the cause of noise and "wobbly-ness" in the front end for some time. Earlier in the year, I had asked them to check them out and they told me that it was my tires. I replaced the tires (went back to Continental DWS's from Cooper RS3-A's); ride was better, but the noise and "wub-wub" sound in the front kept getting worse. It was noticeably worse when turning. Dropped it off Friday at 2:15 p.m, by 5:24 it was ready. They had replaced the front hub bearings used the Elite warranty, rotated the tires, done a brake fluid flush, and state inspection. Oh, and washed the car and put on some tire shine. I'm very happy to report that the hub bearing replacement did the trick: the car is driving wonderfully again. Many thanks to Mike at Pearson Infiniti for the great service!

Thanks, now I need to do all the rest of the engine panels before it gets too cold. I'm hoping it turns out good.
