I went to my shop this morning to install my coilovers. Somehow they can't tighten one of 3 bolts of front coilover because the strut bar's bracket is too thick. The bolt just can't get over it. BTW, I'm selling my Eibach pro kit and Racingline strut bar. I prefer local pickup or you'll pay for the shipping.

I will post this in the "for sale thread" with prices...

no, we will sacrifice chassis rigidity for the drop and improved ride. not body roll. for body roll the big RSB and stock FSB are there

My assumption is that the inward most stud on the coilover is not long enough to accomidate the riser on the strut bar..... It's actually a very easy fix.

(A) knock out the stud on the coilover plate ( it will just press out in a vise) and replace with a longer stud --available at a fastener store ( HD SUPPLY or the like, not home depot-----Called a serrated bolt)or(B) knock out the stud and replace with a longer standard bolt and lock nut from home depot... 10 Minute fix

uuhhh yeah, body roll comes from front and rear chasis instability.. the rear sway bar imrpoves that for the rear, but the front will still roll a bit... but enjoy anyway!

you shouldn't rank people by how much money they have either!

anyway, I don't see why folks would even consider giving up the front strut bar... mendi, with your infitnite knowledge of cars, why didn't you suggest the exact same thing that racingline suggested , rather than just saying get rid of your strut tower bar? in case you guys (with racingline's strut tower bar) didn't , that's very similar to what they did in order to get the tower bar to fit in the first place... probably costs about what a few dollars to replace the stud/bolt?

anyway, I think the guys that get this coilover kit that manage to keep the strut tower bar will love the handling of this + the bar.. should handle those corners like a champ now!

alright guys. I run to another problem that I mentioned in Loop's thread, but not sure anyone even read. After I installed the coilovers, I hear a strange sound coming from the right back of my car. I check all bolts, nuts and everything is fully tighten. Loop talked about the preload thing while back that would eliminate the noise. I'm not too sure how to preload and what "preload" really means in this case. Any help would be appreciated. Btw, thanks for your suggestion Joe, but I decided to sell mine anyway.
