As long as you get a similar engine I don't see why you'll need to reprogram anything. As for removing it, just make sure you label all hoses, etc. and use a cherry picker.

Ok. Would i have to remove the front bumper hood headlights radiator and all front end?
Would you happen to know the engine weight and dimensions? Im planning on buying an engine overseas and they need the engine's weight and dimensions to calculate shipping costs

I don't see why you would need to remove that stuff. Maybe radiator and hood to give yourself room, but not the lights or bumper.

As for weight...no idea. If my engine dies, I buy another car lol. Ain't got time to mess with such intricate swaps, money be damned.

The absolute best way to remove the engine in an 06 M45 would be to hoist the car and lower both engine and transmission then deal with it on the floor. That is what the FSM says, and if I had a hoist I would do it that way.

However, in absence of such resources, you can separate the engine and transmission while still in the car and pull the engine up through the engine bay.
The things that have to get out of the way are the radiator and fan shroud, the radiator itself and the hood. Power steering pump and A/C compressor should be tied off to the side regardless of method of removal. The alternator can be left on the car, but I still haven't found a way to leave it on there and remove the power steering pump. It's just 2 securing bolts anyway, why not do it?

Things to look out for:
1. The motor mounts, they're expensive to replace, and easy to break.
2. You have to remove the steering lower shaft (the one that pokes out of the cabin onto the steering rack) unless you want to mess with removing the driver side exhaust manifold.
3. When you do #2 above, please tie the seatbelt through the steering wheel or find any other way to prevent it from turning at extreme angles, which could damage the clockspring.
4. The radiator and A/C condenser have a tricky attachment at the bottom. Don't break anything.

#5 is more of a piece of advice. If it is in your plan to do this at some point, replace all your spark plugs and gaskets while the engine is still outside the car.

#6 is also applicable pretty much for any engine job. Find a way to ensure you get a good engine. Remove the oil pan and inspect the bottom end. VK45 concerns.

So what is the story on this car you intend to buy, how did the engine get damaged?

Thanks for the advise and all info. Its an 06 m45 sport. It's still from a friend. The car is in very good conditions ither than bad engine ,chipped paint on front bumper and little scratch on one rear door and rear panel. my friend somehow hit some type of concrete with oil pan while driving and cracked the oil pan he kept driving cause he did not notice engine started knocking he stopped and the car was towed to the mechanic. Bought new oil pan and new crank bearings to see if it would work but they tried to start it the engine did not turn. I foud an engine in the US for 2k +360 shipping and he's selling me the car for 1300 so i think is kind of a fair price. Only concern is that there isn't any of those same model cars here in junkyards on PR. Parts are expensive I would have to buy through internet to save some $ or buy through the infiniti dealer which would probably cost me an and and a leg. Anyways know a good place where i xan buy parts online for good prices?
